3rd Test - Thu 24 - Mon 28: March 05 Pakistan Vs India

Re: 3rd Test - Thu 24 - Mon 28: March 05 Pakistan Vs India

350+ is a good last innings target in a test match, but I am afraid that Sehwag could change the norms just as much as Afridi changed our chances. Suckers!

^and what is interesting in the above chat.

Re: 3rd Test - Thu 24 - Mon 28: March 05 Pakistan Vs India

39 overs left for the day. 2 overs for change over. So effectively 37 overs remain for the day. So Pakistan should bat for another 25 and give some 8-10 overs to India with a target of 330-340.

Re: 3rd Test - Thu 24 - Mon 28: March 05 Pakistan Vs India

No, Afridi ruined Afridi’s effort.

Re: 3rd Test - Thu 24 - Mon 28: March 05 Pakistan Vs India

That’s just a random sample of what I could capture at that time. The ongoing banter between Indian and Pakistani fans gets quite funny, it’s not my fault if you were too poor to afford humor classes.

Re: 3rd Test - Thu 24 - Mon 28: March 05 Pakistan Vs India

I am not seeing this match. Unless the pitch has deteriorated greatly, a target of 330-340 in 100 overs would be slightly on the risky side. Wonder if Inzy will take that risk (May be Woolmer would talk him into it)…because we desis like to ensure that our butt is safe first…

Re: 3rd Test - Thu 24 - Mon 28: March 05 Pakistan Vs India

I still believe if we are going to give them 10 overs today and all day tomorrow we better give them 360+ of target cuz they can very well eat up our bowling scoring 50+ in just 10 overs (like in 1st inning) and tomorrow it’ll be only 290 runs in 85 overs which is very easy (given that its OUR bowling).

:hehe: koi baat nahi yaar, try again

Re: 3rd Test - Thu 24 - Mon 28: March 05 Pakistan Vs India

Pitch has not deteriorated to alarming proportions but two dozes of heavy rollers (one before indian innings today and one tomorrow morning) should make widen the cracks. And yes I think Inzi will take this risk because 1-0, 2-0 wont make any difference. Chasing 330-340 is still a difficult target on a last day pitch with Kaneria.

Re: 3rd Test - Thu 24 - Mon 28: March 05 Pakistan Vs India

Anything below 400 would be suicidal IMHO...

Re: 3rd Test - Thu 24 - Mon 28: March 05 Pakistan Vs India

i think they shud get the lead u to 300 and then go crazy with the bat and see how much they can accumulate in the quickest time possible....
then put indians in and hope the bowling will click....

Re: 3rd Test - Thu 24 - Mon 28: March 05 Pakistan Vs India

I will not like to end this in a tame draw. If we go by your idea of batting till sometime tomorrow, it will surely hamper our slim chances of a victory. If we let India sense that thy can achieve this target, there are more chances of us winning it because in all honesty apart from Sehwag, I dont see any other batsmen REALLY challenigng the target.

Re: 3rd Test - Thu 24 - Mon 28: March 05 Pakistan Vs India

Dont tell me this was discussed on cricbuzz as well???

Re: 3rd Test - Thu 24 - Mon 28: March 05 Pakistan Vs India

some1 and brahmachari relax logo dont get agitated :p its just Pakistan batting, I see smoke :p

Re: 3rd Test - Thu 24 - Mon 28: March 05 Pakistan Vs India

How would the rollers widen the cracks. I thought they were used to close them…and the decision to use a light roller or heavy roller is on the captain of the batting team.

Re: 3rd Test - Thu 24 - Mon 28: March 05 Pakistan Vs India

if we draw, we lose the series anyway, hence we’ve got to risk a win…

Re: 3rd Test - Thu 24 - Mon 28: March 05 Pakistan Vs India

Dravid, Sachin, Laxman are very capable of accelerating it too.
