Australia 78/1

Hayden hits a six to Kaneria.

23.2 Danish Kaneria to Hayden, SIX, a full and meaty drive over the long on rope

Ram Raam sattay hey..

Wel lI havent seen much of kanerias action.
Ehsan bhai or anybody else can tell me how well he bowls? is he an agressive spinner like mushtaq ahemd or looks like regualr spinner?.. Does he has a potential to be big time bowler? or he shouuld just be selected when playing against bangladesh

someone plz tell me why afirdi is not replacing kaneria in this match????

and someone plz tell me why afridi was flown here, paid the extra ticket and expenses in sharjah if he was meant to just sit out and watch....

the answer here is YES and that wud also answer all other questions u asked before this....

Sherry baba, kaneria does not impress me at all, very ordinary, neither threatning nor penetrative, just been hit for four as I type.

I am very disappointed that we went against the world champions with only four bowlers and two of them inexperienced i.e. Sami and Kaneria, one aging lion, Waqar and only one decent bowler, Saqlain. I predict Australia to put up 500+ unless they decide to commit suicide.

Mughal bhai seem to me that it is silly to fly in a player and then not play him. That is not all, I read yesterday that Razzaq is being retained in Sharjah at the boards expense, not only that, since he got injured his wife has flown out to join him. Why wasnt he flown back home and the expense saved? But then that would be too sensible.

Australia 89/1 at lunch.

Sometimes I wish that I was in a Pakistan squad. Even if I'm not playing I can still get a free world tour.
HEck I don;t mind to be physcologist for this team. I'm sure he is having one hell of a time. All he is doing is boosting their confidence by givving some false hopes or giving some anti depression/fear tablets and at the same time travel with them with all the luxuries being provided.

Is there is no end to silly decisions by Waqar, going into a test match with only four recognised bowlers is the latest one.

I think Pakistan is in for a big big Phenti.

I hope I am wrong.

Ehsan Bhai, Austriaila plays with 4 regular bolwers too... considering they play an extra batsmen every time. Though thier bowling lineup is better then ours right now but Waqar maybe wanted to strengthen the batting! Every team in world cricket goes with 4 front line bowlers excaept for South Africa and Pakistan when they have regular allrounders in the squad....
india, austriala , westindies.. every team deoa that these Days.
Well excluding Afridi is bad choice though

Yes you might be right but when you are going with four bowlers you have to evaluate the strength of each bowler. Ehsan pointed out that two of them are inexperience and let me also add this both of them didnt bowl well at the previsou test matches.

Waqar hasnt been dominating or a wicket taking force so all we have is Saqlain who has not been outstanding so far as one would have expected.

I don't understand why Waqar always emphasizzed that bowling is not the problem knowingly that Shaoib ruled himself out. He shold have been well aware before the game, the uphill task his bowlers are gonna face.

Saby bhai, you are comparing Mcgrath, Gillespie, Lee and Warne with Waqar, Sami, Kaneria and Saqlain. Need I say more. Look at the quality of that Australian attack and compare that with ours. Secondly these teams have good second string bowlers, do we have any? Australians have a number of them, so do other teams.

For Pakistan to have gone in with a four man attack they would have required, Akram, Shoaib, Waqar and Saqlain. Only then can you compare them with the attacks of the other teams.

This is a county level attack and will be dealt with by the Australians.

Australia 102/1

Hayden 51 not out.

Australia 107/1

Ponting and Hayden partnership 103 runs off 184 balls. :(

Australia 115/1

Ponting 51 not out from 91 balls.

The juggernaut is rolling.

**Australia 159/1 (44.1 ov)**

Batsmen: R B 4s 6s S/R
ML Hayden (LHB) 79 135 10 2 58.52
RT Ponting (RHB) 72 125 9 0 57.60

what a bowling attack....

sami preferred over zahid....
kaneria chosen and afridi not playing....
razzaq, allrounder, fast bowler, being replaced by hassan raza....

how do the tem selectors think????

At tea Australia 179/1.

Kaneria twisted his ankle bowling, is OK and will continue. However, a thought, as we only have four bowlers, what happens if one of them gets injured. Maybe it will not make a difference as we are getting hammered anyway.

Australia 188/2

Hayden caught Faisal bowled Saqlain 89.

Faisal took a blinder of a catch, absolutely marvellous effort by Faisal.

Australia 215/2

Ponting 102 not out, reaching his 100 with a massvie six off Saqlain.

Australia 233/3

M. Waugh C Rashid B Saqlain 23.

I know ehsan bhai and i said above that their bowling is powerful but wholese P{akistan can play?? perhaps Naved ul Hassan as an all rounder?? well i guess had he played , Waqar would have been criticezed for ignoring talent like Hasan Raza!!!
