Baqi log apney apney ilaqey ka hisaab laga lain
So ladies and gentleman we come to the 3rd and final Test of this Series. Pakistan in a position where they can’t lose the series which on the Other hand puts WI under pressure to go for a win to atleast square the series. WI showed great character in this match and rode on Lara’s special but Pakistan bounced back through Yousaf.
Sami is replacing Abdur Rehman. Since the former did not really play, I hope its the same case with Sami as well. Just like Yasser and Samiullah being in the side as well.
God I hope they don't play him!
They are just denying other players a chance from playing in domestic cricket. Pak do not need 15 players for home and lone test match. They can invite local players from Karachi any time if they need them for fielding. For test match they should retain 12/13 players. Eleven players played Multan plus Sami and Yasir as replacement for Hafeez and Razzaq if Inzi and selectors have balls to play positive cricket.
There is no point keeping a palatoon, let them play in domestic cricket.
If they are playing positive cricket, since now no risk of loosing series, they should go with:
1. Yasir (first choice)/Hafeez (Karachi seaming pitch may dent him)
2. Farhat
3. Younis
4. Yousaf
5. Inzi
6. Malik
7. Akmal
8. Sami
9. Nazir
10. Gul
11. Kaneria
good move to bring back sami . asif and shoaib are not likely to come back in time for the world cup ,so he needs to be given one more chance to prove his worth and may be played in teh world cup
^strike bowler chahiyay uncle..his performance in one dayers is not that bad anyway,so he could be a good option in the world cup if he can show some confidence.look what happened to india yesterday with their line and length bowlers bowling at 78 miles an hour on a seaming track
Inclusion of Sami is dishearting and if he is selected ahead of Samiullah in the last Test match (Pak vs. WI) that will simply break the heart of Samiullah. This moves come after the news (Dawn newspaper) that one selector will be part of the team whether its touring or home team and he will have a say; what wonders will it do? it only baffles me that PCB is not ready to adapt the more attractive system (Aussies) right at the core where its needed; "Domestic arena."
I can only hope that winning combination prevails and the team go for the kill, I am happy with Farhat's performance, hopefully he can carry on and Hafeez can provide him better support(however I dont believe they are the combination that will solve our "openers" problem, Lets hope they can solve.). Yousef record or no record (most runs in a year) he is master class, I am short of words ...he is simply exquisite. Hopefully Inzi will improve and perform better at KHI, and watching Inzi and Yousef together on 22' strip will be full of joy. As for the rest (Malik, Razzy and Kami) well simply take your time and play, Its a test match not who scores first & get out!
if you want a change go 6-4-1 and let Malik, Razzaq replaced by Iqbal and Samiullah.
^I totally agree. Sad thing is that Malik will be playing until constant failures in South Africa, and Razzaq may still be in the playing XI next match and also have to be dropped in South Africa.
yay -- ;)
so what do you guys think. will he make it back or fail again?
I hope he makes it, in the absence of shoaib and asif...doobtay ko tinkay ka sahara.
Pakistan have recalled pace bowler Mohammad Sami to a 15-man squad for the third Test against West Indies.
Sami, who replaces uncapped left-arm spinner Abdul Rehman, was dropped after taking just eight wickets at an average of 58.25 against England in the summer.
"He has performed well in domestic cricket and that's why we have recalled him to strengthen the pace attack," said chief selector Wasim Bari.
Sami has taken 73 wickets in 28 Test matches at an average of 48.36.
Pakistan lead the three-match series against the West Indies 1-0 after a nine-wicket victory at Lahore last week. The second Test ended in a draw at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Thursday and the third and final Test starts in Karachi on Monday.

Hope they are strengthening the pace attack for the match, not for the net. Since they have Samiullah Niazi in the squad of 15, but still went with Razzaq, which tell us that they even strengthen the pace attack more by adding one more fast bowler in 15 for the NET PRACTICE.
