After my super performance at Trent Bridge (I started that thread), I hereby start this thread for the 3rd test.
That reminds me, if F&B had not started the thread for the Lord’s test…India would have been leading 2-0. But I guess the damage wrought by F&B cannot be undone now.
As regards the 3rd test :
Here’s my recommendation (none of which are likely to happen):
Sree Santh OUT , Ranadeb Bose IN
Haven’t ever seen Bose bowl, but he just took 5 wickets against Sri Lanka A (1st innings). So he deserves a chance just like Sree Santh deserves a punishment.
Dhoni OUT, Yuvraj IN
Dhoni scored 0 and 1 against Sri Lanka A. His wicket-keeping has been poor (though he did not miss chances in the 2nd test). It is ridiculous to leave out a hugely talented batsman (who has been amongst runs) for the sake of Dhoni.

Yuvraj Singh has not only been scoring runs, but he has been doing so quite consistently. 31 and 18 vs. Sussex, 59 against England Lions and 15 (17) + 33 (40) against Sri Lanka A. Only recently he has up the ante of scoring at a brisk rate against Sri Lanka A. He is slowly getting into his rhythm, and it will be illogical to leave him out of the third and the entire test series while having mediocre players in the side.

Supposed to be a bouncy pitch, so I think Sreesanth will play. Powar may be brought in for Kumble though.
Knowing Indian think tank, they will not drop Kumble.THough I like the Idea. I still think Bose will play in place of sreesanth. Oh damn... they didnot bring Munaf. He will be missed.

I'm not much into cricket. I dont understand these 'test' matches. There is no limit on how many 'overs' you can play??? Why is that?? Also, Can I watch live action online anywhere?
Re: 3rd Test: India v England at The Oval - Aug 9-13, 2007
Collingwood to Ganguly, OUT, well, the part-time bowler has made the breakthrough. The ball again nips back at Ganguly who is taken on the pad and a loud appeal is upheld by Ian Howell...*but, oh dear, the replays show a big inside edge and Ganguly is unlucky. Collingwood gets his second scalp of the series, and both have owed plenty to the umpires *
Another day of Test Cricket, another wrong LBW decision.
Doesn't matter who gets the wrong decision, this thing induces a big dose of "luck factor" into the game - which should be completely unacceptable in this day and age.
