Re: 3rd Test: England v Pakistan at Sharjah Nov 01
From 101/0 To 101/1
I hope Malik will stay on the wicket for the remaining time with Hafeez.
Pak 29/1
Re: 3rd Test: England v Pakistan at Sharjah Nov 01
Hafeez on Fire
Re: 3rd Test: England v Pakistan at Sharjah Nov 01
I should say big idiot Azhar
38.1
Rashid to Azhar Ali, OUT, run out! What a shambolic calamity! Where to start? A drive into the covers, an instant call, a last-minute refusal. Both batsmen at the same end, but the shy is hopeless, midwicket tidies up, Rashid scampers back to the stumps, gathers at the second attempt, and in all that time, Azhar still hasn't made his ground!
Azhar Ali run out 34 (115b 0x4 0x6) SR: 29.56
Re: 3rd Test: England v Pakistan at Sharjah Nov 01
Malik gone ![]()
Only Younis or Misbah can save it now
Re: 3rd Test: England v Pakistan at Sharjah Nov 01
Only Hafeez is playing with confidence
Re: 3rd Test: England v Pakistan at Sharjah Nov 01
Shoaib Malik is not test material. Even, English players gave him 2,3 lives when he scored 200. He can make runs Only if he is given 2,3 chances on a flat batting track.
Re: 3rd Test: England v Pakistan at Sharjah Nov 01
Even Younus Khan can not handle the pressure and throws his wicket away in the end.
Re: 3rd Test: England v Pakistan at Sharjah Nov 01
Pakistan lead by 49 runs with 8 wickets remaining
Hafeez unbeatable super 80*
Re: 3rd Test: England v Pakistan at Sharjah Nov 01
English pacers will be the key in tomorrow's 1st session, if Pakistan handle them easily then they will be in good position
Re: 3rd Test: England v Pakistan at Sharjah Nov 01
Hafeez moves to 85* with help of 7 fours and 3 sixes

Anderson to Mohammad Hafeez, FOUR, stunning stroke to carry Hafeez into the 90s. Right under the eyeline and clobbered through point. Anderson is straining everything, but that key third wicket is proving elusive
Re: 3rd Test: England v Pakistan at Sharjah Nov 01
Younis struggling
Re: 3rd Test: England v Pakistan at Sharjah Nov 01
Hafeez moves to 95*
Re: 3rd Test: England v Pakistan at Sharjah Nov 01
Younis Khan loses his wicket after review at 14.
Re: 3rd Test: England v Pakistan at Sharjah Nov 01
Younis LBW unfortunate for him but he was really struggling from the 1st ball
50.4
Broad to Younis Khan, OUT, huge appeal! And Oxenford has given Younis lbw after a massive pause for thought! That nipped back a mile, Younis took a huge stride, well outside the line, but there was no stroke offered. The umpire considered his angles, and got it pretty close to spot on.Younis reviews but the top of off was being pinged out of the ground!
*Younis Khan lbw b Broad 14 (53m 39b 1x4 0x6) SR: 35.89*
Re: 3rd Test: England v Pakistan at Sharjah Nov 01
At the end of 3rd day
Pakistan lead by 74 runs with 7 wickets remaining
Tomorrow, very critical 1st session for Pakistan.
Re: 3rd Test: England v Pakistan at Sharjah Nov 01
Good decision by Malik.
Re: 3rd Test: England v Pakistan at Sharjah Nov 01
I noted 2 LBW IN Pak 2nd inning. And one in 1st inning. 3 out of 14 wickets lbw. 21 pct.
No lbw in England inning. Let's see by natch end what the stats are.
The problem with drs is this - close decisions uphold umpire call. If umpire had given Younis NOT out that decision woukd have been upheld also.
Dr's should he changed such that whatever the replay shows shoukd be final.
Else umps with tendency to go one side would still impact game. This is case in point.
In fact say Younis was NOT out. The ball was very closely missing off stump. The umpire decision would have stayed.
Point is DR'S needs reform (regardless of this test). If DR'S shows ou5, go with it. If not out, go with it. Get rid of the clause - if close call umpire decision on ground stays. Because if you have confidence in technology , DO NOT rely on umpire for close calls! It is exactly the close calls for which DR'S is best suited for. Of course it will also catch big blunders.
Right now if batsman out umpire rules not out and fielding team challenges. Let us say its a close call. The decision of umpire stays. They lose on both counts - the out batsman is declared not out. AND they lose a challenge. At least if u say it is.close call and decision on ground stands dont penalize challenging team by removing one chall3nge.
Re: 3rd Test: England v Pakistan at Sharjah Nov 01
Havent see the highlights but how in the world Pakistani batsmen get runouts in test matches.. Its a bummer. Foolish way to loose a wicket that can cost Pak a lot.
Now, Pak still needs to put up 200 more runs otherwise this match can finish tomorrow.
