Re: 3rd Test: England v Pakistan at Sharjah Nov 01
Pak is in much familiar situation. Had misbah and younus not scored it would be a disaster situation.
Now they hv to make sure Eng gets out before 300 which is possible. And then Pak has to bat very responsibly to stretch it till late fourth day atleast. And then we can hope the pitch starts turning.
Its ironic how english pacers took 6 wickets within 1 day and Pakistani pacer could only take 1.
Re: 3rd Test: England v Pakistan at Sharjah Nov 01
Things look bad for Pakistan. If we give away 100 or more in lead, it will be hard to catch up. We need a another English batting collapse.
btw, i am baffled by the decision of playing Azher ali as an opener. He was pretty well set at no 3 but to make space for damad, we have tinkered with his position. If anything, damad should have opened.
Re: 3rd Test: England v Pakistan at Sharjah Nov 01
Hafeez is the culprit, dude just can't bat at all.
What a waste of 1 position in the team which would be better to have some better batsman and/or allrounder.
Hafeez is a liability, and so is Azhar Ali.
That dude is way too slow for the action

Pak 20/0
10.2
Ali to Mohammad Hafeez, no run, edged and dropped! A massive deflection to be fair, and Bairstow was never going to reach it as it thudded into his thigh. Technically a chance
9.6
Patel to Mohammad Hafeez, SIX, up and over, lovely strike, down the wicket to meet the ball and effortlessly lobbed over long-off
4.1
Anderson to Mohammad Hafeez, no run, slightly short of a length, Hafeez prods at it and he's given caught behind! England went up in unison and Bruce Oxenford's finger quickly followed but Hafeez is miffed and immediately asks for a review... There must have been a sound but the replays seem to show a visible gap between bat and ball, there's no Snicko or Hot Spot, of course, but the third umpire is confident enough to overturn the decision. Hafeez survives!
Re: 3rd Test: England v Pakistan at Sharjah Nov 01
and Run out
37.6
Anderson to Mohammad Hafeez, FOUR, on the pads, flicked away, and Anderson’s match figures have been decimated (kind of literally) in the space of two balls!
37.5
Anderson to Mohammad Hafeez, SIX, wow, where did that come from! A slither of width outside off, and Hafeez has had enough of deference. A massive swipe across the line, working with the cut of Anderson’s offcutter, and deposited into the stands at midwicket!
