Yeah personally I don't mind if their defending the position of an umpire that may have falsely made the wrong decision, because in that situation, I feel it is justified to defend the position of umpires who DO in fact have a relatively difficult and challenging job.
However, Darrel Hair is a piece of doo-doo that historically and factually has some serious animosity towards Pakistan. I don't understand why the ICC keeps appointing him to Pakistan games when he CLEARLY makes bias and wrong decisions.

Yeah it's so bloody unfortunate... but hey, at least England are well aware of the wrong decisions as well. I'm sure it's going to keep England on the edge of their seats throughout the game now.
Hopefully Pakistan can use this as motiviation (i.e. sloppy english batting and good pakistani bowling), rather than as discouragement.

21.1 Mohammad Sami to Cook, no run, how was that given not out? Cook sends a huge inside edge through, and there’s a big noise, too. Big reaction from the crowd while Inzamam can’t hide his fury, shouting out something. That’s two bad decisions in quick time - Pakistan have been very unlucky

Man there are umpiring mistakes that you can forigve, and then there are some that are beyond patheitc. These are just unbelievably bad decisions.

Pakistan need to take atleast 1 wicket before lunch.
Make sure they target the stumps. Thats the only way these players will be given out

I am sure it is not only me but most if us who can feel something controversial will happen with Hair being the umpire in a match.
Should ICC continue with such a person in their elite panel against whom cricket fans have legitimate concerns and are not comfortable having him as one of the umpire?????

LIke I said before, the TEAMS should be allowed to have one veto on umpire selection. That way, Pakistan can always avoid DH and India could avoid Bucknor.
