I beg to differ…Akhtar even in his merry-chucking ways is not really a big threat in One-Dayers…infact he tends to be mostly expensive.

shoaib is out...and personally i think that unless we sort out our fielding and our ability to bowl no-balls...were goin nowhere...especially with the kindof running they did in the last game...and iv always felt afridi and abdul razzaq are unreliable...they rarely click when desperately needed (refer to the last odi against england as well)...hope evrything works out in the next game...

Sami isn't in the current squad, so he won't be playing tomorrow. However, a new squad will be announced for the final 2 matches so he may return then.

I don't think Shoaib ever intended to play the series, he has been carrying this niggle for a while and it's better for him to rest for future tours.

He has already done the damage on this tour as far as the Indians are concerned. Good chance for Arafat to make an impression.

Well, our bowling weakness has become exposed all of a sudden. I think Rana is bending his back too much in trying for extra pace and bounce. He should strive for swing and line&length. If he and Asif both bowl well in tandem ,they can put pressure on Indians.

Three people were injured on Sunday when thousands of fans rushed across the border of India to reach Pakistan for the third one-dayer on Monday.

“We have called the police to avert any untoward situation, as the crowd had become bad-tempered,” said an immigration official. The official added that three people were taken to hospital with minor injuries after people started throwing stones at officials, at the crossing between India and Pakistan near the northern Indian city of Amritsar. Around 3000 people had lined up since dawn, 25 kilometres from Amritsar, to cross by foot into Pakistan and then on to Lahore.

“It was difficult for the Custom and Immigration staff to clear the crowd of three thousand people at once,” the official said.

The swathe of people confronted at the border caused the officials to close the gates, which invoked scenes of violence from angry fans who broke through the gate to reach the immigration office. Officials fled in panic, as the crowd hurled stones at their office, smashing windows and causing a minor stampede.

Officials were hopeful of processing all the travelling fans to Pakistan by the end of the day.

I can understand how a doodh wala, golay gunday wala will be useful, but how in the world will a local paper boy be of any help? Unless, of course, Wasim Akram has started delivering papers in his spare time.
