I would wait till he bowls in test matches before passing any judgements. These ODI flat pitches are making a mockery of the bowlers.

Big Indian turnout expected
By Our Sports Correspondent
LAHORE, Feb 11: Only 50 Indian cricket fans were able to get tickets on Saturday for the third One-day International cricket match between Pakistan and India to be held at Qadhafi Stadium on Monday.
However, over 1,000 Indian fans are expected to cross Wagah Border to see the match which has become crucial after India won the second ODI at Rawalpindi by seven wickets to level the five-match series one-all, having lost the first ODI at Peshawar.
Around 2,000 Indian spectators have booked their tickets on Internet for Monday’s fixture.
Meanwhile, local fans were unable to to get tickets on Saturday despite the fact the designated bank had announced on Friday it had sold out all available stocks.

**Shoaib set to return for Pakistan **
Third one-day international, Lahore: Pakistan v India
Match starts on Monday at 0600 GMT
Pakistan are set to welcome back star paceman Shoaib Akhtar for the third one-dayer against India on Monday.
Akhtar missed the first two matches with an ankle problem but captain Inzamam-ul-Haq is happy he is returning after Friday’s hammering in Rawalpindi.
He said: “The bowling attack will be considerably strengthened. Having an experienced bowler will make a big difference to our morale and strength.”
A finger injury could see India spinner Harbhajan Singh miss out again.
Without him, India cruised to victory in Rawalpindi, achieving a target of 266 with almost seven overs to spare.
But captain Rahul Dravid is refusing to get carried away.
Getting beaten in one match doesn’t really make a big difference - this team is capable of fighting back
Inzamam-ul-Haq
“We played some good cricket to win, so I think it’s going to be a good series,” he said.
“But it doesn’t mean that we can turn up the next day in a hope that we will win - we have to play well in the remaining matches.”
Inzamam expects a sell-out crowd - with a large contingent of Indians crossing the border - and the floodlights to create “a different atmosphere” which will lift his side.
And he believes they can quickly get over Friday’s disappointment and return to the form which won them the Test series and the opening one-dayer in Peshawar.
"This series is still open and the team that fields well in the remaining three matches will run away with victory.
“Getting beaten in one match doesn’t really make a big difference. This team is capable of fighting back and winning again.”

Re: 3rd ODI Pakistan Vs. India
Pakistan has challenge on its hands........ Now........
Re: 3rd ODI Pakistan Vs. India
We beat India in India last year emphatically without shoaib Akhtar. And even in series against windies and aussies, we were without shoaib and performances were top notch.
We dont miss Shoaib as much in one dayers as we do in tests but nonetheless its a big loss but lets hope Rana can get his act together for the rest of the series because he has been our pace spearhead in one dayers.
Re: 3rd ODI Pakistan Vs. India
I am not bothered much about Shoaib, i think we can do well even in his absence, what concerns me is an unfit Inzmam who is continues to play, which means one less batsman and one less fielder.
Re: 3rd ODI Pakistan Vs. India
Well certainly one less batsman.
Re: 3rd ODI Pakistan Vs. India
shobi not gonna play :(

Big loss for Pakistan but I agree that we can still perform well without him.
Lets hope Rana can repeat last year's performance.
It is going to be again a tricky decision for inzi after winning the toss at Lahore. According to cricinfo, teams batting first have won most of the time recently at Lahore.
Last time when we played with India during the '04 series, we tried both the options during the 4th and 5th ODI, of batting and bowling first and lost both the ODIs.
Anyway if batting first, the 'Boyz' need to score atleast 320 to give India a fight. Even in the second ODI we could have scored that after the failure of top order, if afridi and razzaq had added 30 runs each.
Re: 3rd ODI Pakistan Vs. India
Team winning the toss will bat first. Dew will be a big factor for side batting second. Hope Inzi understands this.
Re: 3rd ODI Pakistan Vs. India
My understanding is that with Shoaib in bowling attack, the Pakistan India parity was 60-40, without him its 50-50. Pakistan surely still have team to beat India, that's not mistaken... Now its an evenly matched series, that's what I meant....
Re: 3rd ODI Pakistan Vs. India
Good news for Pakistan... Sehwag is out of the Lahore ODI. Without him, Indian batting is only 10 men deep instead of 11.
Re: 3rd ODI Pakistan Vs. India
Sehwag IsOut ???

and Shoaib is out too!!!

I would have loved to see Sehwag Rip his you know what:omg: ![]()
Yeah I Know too many smilies:D ![]()
Re: 3rd ODI Pakistan Vs. India
Now that Sehwag is out...I think we should include Raina...and have Pathan open the innings with Tendulkar. Gambhir can be the supersub.
I dont have very high regards for Gambhir's batting plus he will be under added pressure to prove himself after a string of failures against the Sri Lankans.
