hi all moms to be 
me 22 w preggo MA. i went for my scan last week all excited and hyper to know my baby’s gender but the doc was bz measuring the baby’s head size and other head measurements. I told her as soon as i went in i wanna know gender but she maybe looked once at the legs side of baby and said i wudnt want to tell now cus sometimes its not rite and blah and i dun see anything rite now. she just didnt try hard.. i m so pissed! she told me i shouldnt b too fast and IA in a months time i will know.. such a jerk!!!
anyway now i will b goin to pak soon and will b in 24 weeks when i do. i was wonderin if any of u ladies in pak had 3d/4d done to see ur babies/gender? i wanna do it not just for gender but wanna see my baby too. but have no idea how mch it will cost. can anyone pls tell me how mch will it cost for me if i go for 3d in karachi and which hospitals there have this facility. thanks in advance!

I'm not sure if it's available in Karachi, but you know that you don't need one to see gender. I think it's weird they wouldn't at least tell you what they think it might be (at my 17.5 week scan they said they were 70% certain it was a girl). That makes me think that yours may look like a girl for two reasons:
1. Some people have such negative feelings about having a girl that the docs don't want to tell their patients and don't want to be involved in the drama.
2. It's hard to confirm "girl," whereas if you see something that indicates it's a boy, it's pretty definite.
It's funny cuz the ultrasound person just did the 3d scans for us -- we didn't ask. She just said, "Do you want to see the baby's face?" and we were like, "Sure!" And so each visit from 32 weeks on we got a few photos of her face (which she kept hidden by hands and such most of the time). At the time I thought that she looks different in every photo! But now that I see her in person, I can see how each pose from the scans is hers.

yeah, even i thot i mite b havin a girl cus boy is almost definite. but then on the other hand, i have to say i didnt see the doc lookin carefully or closely enough between the legs.. so its still a 50-50 chance i guess. i agree with ur opinion that it mite stress out some ppl if they have a girl but i live in UAE and i dun think the woman wud think that way cus i did not tell her my preference. honestly it wud b sooo lovely to have a girl but from my heart i really want a boy becus of all the prayers that i m gettin for a boy and the ****!!! its sooooo stressful. its not even in my hands and here i m unfortunately, a bit relucutantly prayin for a boy so ppl can just shut up!!!
if anyone knows how much the 3d scan in karachi wud b ples let me know. if any good soul can call agha khan or some gud hosp in karachi.. that will b a HUGEEEEE favor!!!! thanks everyone

you can have 3d/4d ultrasounds at dr.musarrat's ... located at teen talwar clifton .. he will tell you the gender too .. dont know the cost .. but if you just want to know the gender you dont need a 3d or 4d .. a simple u/s will do .. he charges 500 rs. ... if you prefer a female sonologist you can go to south city hospital near bilawal house .. they'l tell you the gender too (they charge 800 rs.for a normal scan) ... some hospitals in karachi have a policy of not telling the gender due to same reasons mentioned above :)

january 3rd she opened the thread n she was 22 wks pregnant , somehow i dnt think she cud hve had the bby in 6 or so wks

when it shows up nothing in the scan,it is usually a baby girl. sonologists esp in pakistan avoid to tell when it’s a girl because mostly people want to hear ‘its a boy’ kind of thingy ! 
wow.. thx so mch zenia for ur reply.. although a bit late. MA its confirmed indeed it is a girl. m preg 28 weeks now AH :) its true that if its difficult to say the gender chances are indeed its a girl. thanks everyone for ur posts :)
