Thats true, but times have changed now. Its not 2000 anymore. Its time to respect the constitution and work within its framework, or the country is going to fall apart because institutions matter, and the nations survive on institutions and not on individuals.
Oh come on Shamraz! I highly respect your views becauase you at least you are consistent, but I expect better from you. Are you saying it was ok for Iftikhar and his supporting judges to ignore the constitution back in 2000, but hide behind it now? What utter hyprocrisy on Iftikhar's part. So here we have people like condenming a "dictator" for his selective attitude towards the constitution, yet find excuses when judges like the ex-CJ Ch.Iftikhar do the same as well.
Shamraz, this is all about power politics on all sides - Govt,opposition, judges etc, and not really about the constitution or rule of law - for all concerned. The sooner idealists or party jiyalas realise that the better.
