30% Americans don’t know the year 9/11 happened

Re: 30% Americans don’t know the year 9/11 happened

^LoL…you can’t expect much from a country led by this thing…

Re: 30% Americans don’t know the year 9/11 happened

AS, do you think the ages of hte ppl who responded to the poll might have anything to do with the number? It IS quite possible that memory loss does accompany age, so its not fair to say that their priorities are screwed up. Perhaps if the article was talking about younger people, in the 18-50 age group, then ic ould understand your reaction...

"This memory black hole is essentially the problem of the older crowd - 48 per cent of those who did not know were between the ages of 55 and 64, and 47 per cent were older than 65, the poll shows."

Re: 30% Americans don’t know the year 9/11 happened

My comments were not specifically for this poll but in general about the condition of Americans that I see everyday. BTW calling some Americans dumbed down doesn’t make me an ‘America hater’. These so called neo-con loving Americans are real threat to America.

Re: 30% Americans don’t know the year 9/11 happened

i agree :bummer: it’s disgusting.

ignorance is something that really bothers me…the worst thing is that they don’t even bother to question, they don’t have any will to learn. it’s truely saddening. :frowning: knowledge is power

If you weren't an American hater, you'd point out the far less educated population of where you hail. Why are you so compelled to point out the fault of others when your own are so much further behind? That's the only reason I bring up Pakistan, not that I'm pointing out faults, but just wonder what thrill it gives you. Someone could pull up statistics all day long if like you, they wanted to
'call some Pakistanis dumbed down'.

Re: 30% Americans don’t know the year 9/11 happened

^Lol, they don't already? Don't you know we r terrorist, who sleep all day, relax, and live in the lap of luxury while every1 else is working for every last cent, and that we r the plague on society? Not to mentioned we r backwards and oppressive mullahs that burn womens privates because they don't wear burka, and that any1 living in muslim country is not as enlightened as the guppies that live in western societies and they don't have the ignorant culture of anyone not born and bred in western countries?

This is all the bs we have to deal with from people on here, theres more garbage against us on here than the other way around despite us being the majority, doesn't that say something? I don't have anything against a certain people, maybe their gov'ts, not the people, and some the guppies on here are working hard to make me question my opinion about them. I mean they don't have anything better to do than come on here and insult us day in and day out, which i don't see the point, cuz they have accomplished nothing but bring even more hatred or negative opinions about themselves.

Re: 30% Americans don’t know the year 9/11 happened

I am sorry I don’t live in Pakistan anymore, so I don’t read too much about Pakistan’s economic and social issues. Pakistan affairs is not my field of interest. That’s why you will seldom see my posts in Pakistan affairs. Poor condition of education in Pakistan in not new news to anyone. Therefore starting a thread about how illiterate Pakistanis are won’t make too much sense. If I stumbled upon any new alarming news about Pakistan I will be glad to share it with everyone.

Just because Pakistan is behind US in every aspect that doesn’t mean that no Pakistani born American has a right to speak up against the ills of American society. What kind of reasoning is that?

Re: 30% Americans don’t know the year 9/11 happened

Looking at the age-group of people who don't know the year when 9/11 happened, seems like they will die shortly, and then we have a bigger problem that a much bigger percentage of people will remember all about it.

If you think carefully, on the balance, it may seem a wise move for Americans to focus on football, basketball and baseball. Including their government, ofcourse. America, after all, is surrounded on two sides by massive oceans. That should help too. Too bad, there are airplanes and ships through which they can interfere in all parts of the world.

Re: 30% Americans don’t know the year 9/11 happened

It really is a shame that the US sucks so bad, its people are stupid and its government is evil. Makes you wonder why the hell everyone is clamoring to get there just to b!tch about it.

Re: 30% Americans don’t know the year 9/11 happened

who cares if ppl [americans] know or don’t…atleast their government [Terrorist Government of United States of America] knows how many innocents they have to butcher everyday to fill their daily quota / quench their thirst for blood…:shoaby:
