30% is not a majority but the numbers are still alarming. I am not going to say that Americans are stupid but their priorities are definitely screwed up. They all know how to act kool. They know what size of underwear their favorite celebrity wears. They know who were the quarterbacks of their favorite team for last 20- years and other useless stuff. They are so focused on such mindless stuff but don’t know anything about the issues that affects their daily lives.

You conveniently omitted a key detail -

95 % of the 30% were over the age of 55 and almost half were above 65

Pakistan's literacy rate is among the world's lowest, in some remote tribabl areas the literacy rate for women is less than 1%. So what's your excuse for that?
You act as if you are speaking from some type of superior postition. Why don't you take the remarkable education you have received here and share it with your illiterate brothers (and sisters!)

This thread is about Americans not Pakistan. So don’t derail it. I am not and have never made any excuses defending Pakistan. The stats you posted about Pakistan are true and the situation over there is pitiable as well.
