At least three rockets have been fired into northern Israel from Lebanon raising fears that the current Israeli offensive in Gaza may spill over.

Israel’s army responded with artillery. No-one has said they fired the rockets.
The exchange came as Israel reportedly launched 60 air strikes on the Gaza Strip overnight, targeting facilities used by the militant Hamas group.
The BBC’s Mike Sergeant in Jerusalem says this is a very dangerous moment in Israel’s conflict.
The fear in the past few days has been that the violence in Gaza could spread to northern Israel and the Lebanese border area, he said.

Schools closed
At least three Katyusha rockets were fired from southern Lebanon into northern Israel, with some reports putting the number of rocket attacks at five.

One rocket hit the Nahariya area, north of the city of Haifa.
At least two people were slightly wounded and a number of others suffering from shock, Israel’s Haaretz newspaper said.
Schools have been closed and residents told to stay in doors, local officials said.
Northern Israel came under attack from rockets fired by Hezbollah during the brief war with Lebanon in the summer of 2006.
Israel said it had responded to the attack with a “pinpoint response at the source of fire”. Reports from inside Lebanon said five Israeli mortar shells fell near the border inside Lebanon, but there were no injuries.

the israelli nuclear arsenal is very potent reminder that its own citizens should remain under the eternal promise of phosporous burning and more

as for irans sharing of aqkhan evidence is neither here nor there. pakistan gets more then its fair share of undue respect. we shouldnt expect it every time.

pakistan other then send out aqkhan(for ecconomic reasons) has done very little for the core issue of palestine. mainly because of who is on the opposing side. thats cowardice in anyones book. so when ahmedinejad stands on a podium and says his speeches he and his nation should be proud.

i dont think you understand, if righteous person has wmd's they should be pointed at israel and located as near as possible. count to three, 1,2,3 and boom

israel has dispensed all its chances for peace. i support only those who will restore good over evil and that means eradication of israel as a state, restoration of refugees to their original homes.

It is a sin to show up for the war and not be prepared.

From 1948, Palestinian militants have consistently shown that they severely underestimate Israeli power, while superbly overestimating their own.

In Pakistan it used to be a common slogan, that Israel is so tiny that if all the Arabs pee on it, the country will drown.

That type of proverbs may be OK for the tea room chat, but unfortunately the so-called warriors and retaliators in Palestinian and Arabs use the same kind of pee mentality. And the result has been horrible for them.
