3 muslims gunned down in Chapel Hill. "Hate crime"
^ I’m glad you’ve done such great humanitarian work. And what makes you think I’ve done none? It’s nowhere compared to what you’ve done but we all do what we can to help others and raise awareness against injustice.
After the atrocities you’ve witnessed committed by the US, why would you ever live here? Surely you have other options.
Re: 3 muslims gunned down in Chapel Hill. "Hate crime"
And the reason I know you have done none is you use the childish logic of “if you don’t like the US so much why do you live here”. Your basic point is that if you want to live in the US you must agree with everything it does.
So just to clarify do you agree with the US special forces soldier who killed 16 kids in Afghanistan? I am assuming that is why you live in the US? Or do you agree with the US killing kids in Pakistan with drone strikes? Or with the US bombing Hospitals in Iraq in the 1992 gulf war?
By your logic if you disagree with any of that you shouldn’t live in the US.
Re: 3 muslims gunned down in Chapel Hill. “Hate crime”
It is a school wing that is under construction. Thank God no one was hurt. It could very well have been an electrical fire, no cause has been determined yet
Re: 3 muslims gunned down in Chapel Hill. “Hate crime”
Your posts always sound so immature. It’s as if you’re trying so hard to portray this image of a person with connections. And you can say what you want about you not needing any visas in the west but hey there’s no way of confirming that now is there?
Muslim Americans are the first to call out any bigotry or racism that occurs here. I would know coz I live here and know many people involved in such causes. I couldn’t care less about you pointing to all the things the US is guilty of. Like I said no country is perfect but some are far better than others. I’m the first to acknowledge the flaws in this country coz again I live here. You on the other hand go on and on about how horrible this country is when you’ve never even lived here! ‘Oh my cousin said all of us claim to be Indians in high school’ is not a valid argument. Please! We would never let go of our identity and are very proud of who we are. We just say it like it is. If we have been wronged here in the US, we’ll say it. If we see injustice elsewhere, we’ll say it and guess what? We actually do get heard.
I don’t know if you lack reading comprehension but no where did I claim that America is my holy land and is free of flaws. Stop putting words in my mouth. It has a lot of flaws but there are a lot of good things too. But you people just come and literally get all giddy when you see something tragic happen in the US. It’s like you sit behind your screen, twiddling your thumbs and pounce on any piece of tragic news coming from the US. What happened was horrific. And we all acknowledge the growing tide of anti- Muslim rhetoric around the country thanks to Bill Maher, Ann Coulter and the likes. But you just go on and on about how horrible this country is without acknowledging the good it has to offer. Without acknowledging how it has contributed to society.
Just coz we call you out on constantly portraying the US in a negative light, you assume we are crying and getting defensive about our ‘holy’ country. Far from it. Yes this is our home and no on knows better than us that it has its share of problems.
And I don’t even follow news from Pakistan. I’ve never made blanket statements about all Muslims and Pakistanis and why would I? That’s my identity first and foremost. It’s the Pakistani masses who are suffering at the hands of corrupt and inept leadership. It’s the Muslim masses who are suffering at the hands of inept Muslim leadership in so many countries around the world. Just coz we call our on the pathetic spineless leaders doesn’t mean we are attacking all Muslims and Pakistanis.
Anyways I’m out. I’ve got better things to do like frolicking in the heavenly fields of this beautiful country than ruin my Friday over this nonsense.
Re: 3 muslims gunned down in Chapel Hill. "Hate crime"
No you don’t know anything about me so drop that argument already. Again I’ve said time and again we are the first to acknowledge what this country is guilty of. And I don’t agree with everything this country does but I still live very comfortably here. I still acknowledge the good it has to offer. I’ve seen your posts. You just constantly post negative things about the US and portray this country to be a complete monster. Not once have you acknowledged anything good about this country. So why would you choose to live here when you can live somewhere else. I don’t get it. Why would you pay taxes towards this evil government when you refuse to acknowledge any good coming from this country. Can’t have your cake and eat it too buddy.
Re: 3 muslims gunned down in Chapel Hill. “Hate crime”
Of course Einstein, there is no way of confirming anything. Stick the typical immature quack of ‘denied US visa’ most Pakistani Americans shoot every time their insecure selves see their fairytale paradise getting criticised. They sure make me chuckle.
I’m sorry if handful of commentators here made you feel like how we are out there to get your innocent little country from our computer screens. It is probably getting too much for you, and maybe we should stop before we get reported. I’m sorry if my constant criticism of your country has haunted you. I actually don’t remember wasting so much time of my time discussing America on regular basis. But God bless Pakistanis for taking so much sht from all of us. They are awesome people. I love them even more now, thanks to people like you. Their tails hardly ever catch fire no matter how you criticise or curse them.
I enjoyed reading your anecdotal account of how wonderful America is, just like I appreciated users’ accounts of how life in Saudia Arabia is so chilled and peaceful.
PS: Quite pathetic of you too throw tantrums on the word self hate, yet has the nerve to accuse people of ‘harbouring hate’ against your Holy Cow of a country just because they said something oh so negative against it? Height of insecurity. No wonder you are trying too hard.

Is name calling what you resort to when you have nothing better to say? Again very childish. You claim you are chuckling but based on your writing you actually seem very upset and angry. Calling me insecure, pathetic? Seriously?
Just came back to let you know your apology has been accepted
Re: 3 muslims gunned down in Chapel Hill. "Hate crime"
Okay so let me get this straight. You don’t agree with everything this country does. But you still live comfortably. So for some reason its okay for you to live comfortably in the US and disagree with it but its not okay for me to do so? Why?
Re: 3 muslims gunned down in Chapel Hill. “Hate crime”
Of course America has a lot of good to offer to its citizens and I don’t think anyone is undermining this fact. Anyway, an interesting video for all to watch.
Re: 3 muslims gunned down in Chapel Hill. “Hate crime”
Yes, you must “hate” the great America, if you say anything negative about her. They can chat so much sht about other nations yet no one can dare mention the four letter word in front of them. Either with us or against us…

^ No Zafra again read my post. You are on a constant anti-US roll. I’ve seen your posts. You are constantly criticizing this country but never acknowledge the security and countless opportunities it has to offer.
I take the good with the bad. I’m very outspoken about the ills of this country but I also realize the benefits. Why would you willingly live here when you are constantly criticizing this country yet never acknowledge the good it has to offer. Why would you work here, pay taxes when you don’t acknowledge anything good this country does? I mean can you at least give me that it’s safer than Sudan and Afghanistan?
Re: 3 muslims gunned down in Chapel Hill. “Hate crime”
Again its a simple point. So what if i am on a constant anti-US roll? My points are legitimate. I hate the fact that the US army kills kids and people like you ignore that. I hate the fact that innocent people are killed on a regular basis based on racism and stupidity and people ignore it or make excuses for it on US television. I hate that a country that considers itself the land of the free and the brave funds the Saudi Government and provides arms to Syrian rebels which goes to ISIL.
If that upsets you that is your problem. Not mine. At the end of the day I don’t make excuses for criminals. I don’t ignore the reality of the evil the US does just because it has some benefits. And you have yet to acknowledge any bad at all so far.
Your problem is simple. You think the US does no wrong and that anybody who thinks otherwise should not live here. You know where you hear such logic? Fox News.
Also answer my question. Why is it okay for you to criticize the US and live here and its not okay for me?
Re: 3 muslims gunned down in Chapel Hill. “Hate crime”
Apparently the wife has come out with the lawyer of the shooter and made a statement that the incident had nothing to do with race or religion and is insisting that this is all about a parking dispute…that the dispute was ongoing and the guy had made several unsuccessful attempts to resolve the matter with the homeowners association.
The lawyer also makes reference to the incident being testimony to the fact that mental health services are needed…
Re: 3 muslims gunned down in Chapel Hill. “Hate crime”
MALCOLM-X: Always a treat to hear/read :k:
It happens every time in any case but Muslims’ associations are on the top of the case as well. they wont let it go under the carpet that easily. There is a lot of pressure on authorities and I trust they’ll deliver.

Namee Barakat, center, watches during funeral services for his son, Deah Shaddy Barakat, Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, in Wendell, N.C. Barakat, 23, his wife, Yusor Mohammad Abu-Salha, 21, and her sister Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha, 19, were found dead Tuesday at their home near the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill campus. Charged with three counts of first-degree murder is Craig Stephen Hicks.
President Barack Obama said Friday that no one should be targeted for what they look like or how they worship as he and First Lady Michelle Obama offered condolences to the families of three Muslim American students killed in Chapel Hill, N.C. this week. In a statement, Obama called the slayings “brutal and outrageous” and said “no one in the United States of America should ever be targeted because of who they are, what they look like, or how they worship.” He noted that in addition to a local investigation, the FBI on Thursday opened an inquiry into the murders of Yusor Mohammad Abu-Salha, Deah Shaddy Barakat, and Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha to determine whether federal laws were violated. Barakat, 23; his newlywed wife, Yusor, 21; and her sister, Razan, 19, were killed in a shooting Tuesday in Chapel Hill. A neighbor of Barakat and Yusor Abu-Salha, Craig Stephen Hicks, has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder. Police have said a parking dispute may have led to the slayings, though families think the motive involved animosity based on the victims’ Muslim faith. Obama’s remarks came a day afterthousands prayedfor the slain and he said, “as we saw with the overwhelming presence at the funeral of these young Americans, we are all one American family. “Whenever anyone is taken from us before their time, we remember how they lived their lives – and the words of one of the victims should inspire the way we live ours,” he said, quoting Yusor as saying: ‘Growing up in America has been such a blessing. It doesn’t matter where you come from. There’s so many different people from so many different places, of different backgrounds and religions – but here, we’re all one.’ “ Alia Bouran, Jordan’s ambassador to the United States traveled to North Carolina Friday to meet with the families, the embassy said, paying condolences to the victims’ families and sharing the “deep sympathy” of King Abdullah II. The embassy noted that Jordan’s Foreign Ministry has confirmed that both Yusor and Razan Abu-Salha held dual citizenship in the United States and Jordan. Yusor Abu-Salha, 21, immigrated to the United States with her family from Jordan when she was 6 months old; her sister Razan, 19, was born in the United States. Yusor had recently graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in biological sciences, while Razan was a sophomore at the same school studying architecture and environmental design.
Re: 3 muslims gunned down in Chapel Hill. “Hate crime”
can you please explain on this part? security for other coutries? like jupiter missiles in turkey for it’s own reasons or providing security to minorities like muslims so they don’t get cherry picked on the streets by rednecks. I mean you both have good and bad points but still.
Re: 3 muslims gunned down in Chapel Hill. “Hate crime”
I said I take the GOOD with the BAD. You don’t even acknowledge the security and opportunities you are being granted here. Why even come here when it’s such a horrible country. Of course the US has blood on its hands. So does every other country in this world! Does that make it ok? Of course not!! But where do we go live?? All I’m asking you to do is acknowledge at least the good with the bad but you are again spewing information that I am already aware of. No need to ‘enlighten’ me.
You don’t upset me at all. It’s just funny how you guys take time out to point fingers yet don’t give credit where it’s due. I’m sure right now you are using countless things that were invented in the US. But hey let’s look the other way, live in this country, enjoy the security it offers, read the books its authors write but give absolutely no credit where it’s due.
You attack me but I think it’s you who is getting incredibly defensive. Just coz I want to claim that the US offers a world of opportunity to millions you conveniently want to shove that under the rug. Sure criticize this country all you want. The constitution grants you this right! But be fair! I agree with the atrocities the US has committed yet you don’t agree with the good it has done. And if I call you out on that you guys say ‘oh you think the US is perfect, oh you watch Fox News blah blah blah.’ When did I say that?? Try coming up with a new argument. You know one that has some validity.
Again I am thoroughly amused that you are constantly criticizing the US but enjoy a comfortable life here yet will not acknowledge that. Hypocrisy much? I know the US doesn’t need you. Seems like you need to live here.
