Like I said before you seem to take the fact that I am critical of the US and living here as a bad thing. But I am honestly very confused. I am critical of people killing kids. That is unacceptable for you. Sadly my moral values are not on sale for a green card. You can have any opinion of me as you want but each criticism is morally valid and doesn’t change depending on which nation does it.
You are just offended because you choose to ignore the fact that the US has killed more civilians than any other democracy on the planet. But you take the good with the bad, and ignore the death of kids.
At the end of the day you are unhappy because I point out the US and Americans are hypocrites. You can’t take criticism when it is valid. That is it and you make this an issue because it hurts your sensibilities.
We can agree to disagree but here is the simple thing. You think my criticism is unfair. I am not sure why you would be upset when I am unhappy with kids dying at the hands of the US army, but then again I have moral values.
Ya Allah. Can we all say a little prayer for the victims and leave it at that. I am sooo hurt by this tragedy and then this argument between ourselves here.

Parking rage and/or road rage is not an excuse for entering a neighbour’s home and shooting them all dead. The way to eliminate such ‘rage as the cause’ is to look at other incidents and to see that it happens at the point of parking and it happens on the vehicle in question. Quite frankly parking rage can be eliminated quite easily, because the act of the shooting happened in an instance when immediate rage should wear off and rational thinking steps in.
Not that parking rage is an excuse … It is still illegal to kill your neighbours. I would argue that hate crime or not these are semantics and distract from the actual killings. He is a murderer and whether is motivated by hate, parking rage, insanity - all three - mean he is likely to do it again so for that reason he should be sentenced hard in any case.
The media should be held accountable too … They need to stop their anti-Muslim rhetoric and I hope a lobby is undertaken against them.

It is more than semantics. If you don’t call it a hate crime, you are failing to acknowledge the underlying prejudice. If it is a hate crime ( which I personally think it is ), it has to be tried as such, so others who hold such prejudicial views take it as a warning. And it raises awareness about the things Muslims go through on a day to day basis.
