Pakistanis in the US have donyye ruelatively well.. I recall there was a thread on how tCandian Pakistanis had higher rates u unemployment and even poverty y compared to American Pakistanis.

A key difference might be that the US doesnt give handouts. The state provides for only the VERY Rich and VERY VERY poor. So most Pakistanis do not fit into either category and hence do not qualify. This I think forces a degree of self reliance.

When my wife was in the hospital, I was not working at the time, and she could not, so we were stuck with a huge bill. We did not qualify for Medicaid as our income was still to high to qualify. So being stuck with such a huge bill was unfair on some level, but it kept us from being complacent and thankfully were able to pay it off eventually.

All these terror suspects come from salafi background. You’ll never find brelvis or sufis even thinking about such criminal acts regardless of their financial status. So I think it’s a combination of financial background and affiliation with a radical ideology.
