"This is 10th time that Azhar Ali is involved in a century-partnership - the most by any Pakistan batsman since Azhar's Test debut. Next are Misbah and Younis, both involved 9 times."

****v to Mohammad Hafeez, 1 run, there it is, Test century No.5 for Hafeez, turns that one away behind square for a single, takes off his helmet, raises his bat, does the *sajdaa. He was on 20 off 73 balls at the lunch break; after the break, he underwent a transformation, 80 runs coming off the next 86 deliveries

Mathews to Mohammad Hafeez, 1 no ball, Oh Hafeez, what have you done! He's thrown it away at the stroke of tea. Short ball down the leg side and Hafeez went for the pull, trying to play it down to fine leg, got the glove and Prasanna did well, diving to his left and snap a good catch. But wait a minute. It's a no-ball, as umpire Ian Gould wants to take another look. Replays show his foot was just over the line, it is a no-ball. No luck for Sri Lanka. Hafeez gets a reprieve.

***v to Mohammad Hafeez, **SIX, "That's gone Mega," says Waqar on TV, tossed up and he'd made up his mind, charged down and sends it over the deep midwicket boundary, the first six of the match and** it's also Hafeez's highest Test score**

Cricinfo:
Pakistan's day, the kind of revival they needed after the defeat in Galle. Sri Lanka tried hard, and created some chances but one wicket was all they could manage. Hafeez had some luck on his way to his highest Test score, while Azhar Ali looked solid throughout. Taufeeq was positive at the outset, and missed out on a bigger score. Sri Lanka were good in the field, but the conditions were against them. Mahela shuffled his bowling around, but a combination of skilful batting and a bit of ill luck prevented him from challenging Pakistan.

It is almost unbelievable that Pakistan are 334/1 after day 1 of 2nd test. Didn’t follow a single ball live but will definitely be watching the H/L online (will be uploaded shortly)
Is the pitch too flat? We will know when Sri Lanka bat in this match
Pak should look to bat just once (bat all of day 2) and try & amass 600-650. No matter how dull or flat the pitch, the pressure of such big scores often induces unforced mistakes by the batsmen
