I think we used him on wrong wicket, he should’ve played 1st match where the wicket was more supportive, this one looks like already spent.

Having said that this is a good pitch for test cricket, there is something for all - batsman, fast bowlers, spinners. I am not sure the pitch for the third test will be this supportive for spin bowling. In fact, expect another fast bowling paradise there.

What a ridiculous umpire. The 2 he gave not out with Ajmal’s deliveries, were over turned by Bowden sitting in the third Umps role.

He had no right to ask Umpire that for which appeal he was given out man?
When umpire has given u DRS confirmed even its wrong you have to accept it and move on

Pakistan did great today. The have put up a decent score for their bowlers to defend. Saeed Ajmal, the maestro, has taken all 5 South African wickets that fell today. Pakistan has SA on the ropes with 139 for 5 wickets. Hopefully Pakistan will take this game. Best of luck Pakistan!

**With a second collapse against the new ball in full swing, it was understandable that Pakistan's batsmen were getting tetchy. Tanvir Ahmed appeared the most irritable. When Umar Gul was given out lbw against Philander, he wanted to consult with Tanvir but the No. 8 wanted no part in it. He turned his back on Gul and walked away from the non-striker's end. He only turned to address to his colleague once Gul had asked for the referral. Tanvir did not seem happy with that at all and the two held a heated discussion in the middle while the third umpire reviewed the decision and upheld the on-field call.**

A good day for Pakistan but I am not celebrating yet. I have seen enough test cricket over the years to know how quickly this game can change in one crazy session
It was Friday (1st day of 1st test) too when Pakistan appeared to be in a dominant position against SA only for the latter to turn the game upside down in one mad session the next day.
Although SA appear to be in trouble at the moment, they would still feel confident about winning if their last 5 batsmen can reduce the deficit to under 100 runs.
One thing we must bear in mind though is that Pak batting is more than capable of imploding for < 150 in the second innings!
Hence it is vitally important that we get a good enough first innings lead. The bigger, the better
Congrats to Ajmal for his 5-for. has silenced those who were quick to label him as a slow track bully after the first test
