Pakistan in for another beating.
The morning session belonged to South Africa although Pakistan did
have a couple of opportunities to take a wicket
Gibbs was dropped by Youhana at backward point when on 29, a chance
that really should have been taken
Then Smith was put down by Khan at 1st slip when on 54 a sharp
chance that may be forgiven as it went very quickly after Smith
had skipped down the track
A hot day of some 34 degrees and it looks like Saqlain is going to
do a lot of bowling to allow the quicks to rest
Pakistan are again a bowler short and Zahid didn't look like taking
a wicket as he was way to short for much of his 5 over spell
Waqar will need to set a more defensive field in the second session
and gets his bowlers to keep the ball on one side of the wicket if
they hope to restrict the South African batsmen to a reasonable
score
At this stage South Africa look set to make plenty and with much
batting to come it could end up being a long tiring day in the
field for the Pakistani Team

Yousuf and Youhana might have a hand on this big total. Both of them dropped an easy CAtch of Gibss and Smith.
I thought Zahid might make a difference as he used to be a strike bowler but after seeing his performace so far, he looks really pathetic. He is not at all fast . maybe as fast as razzaq or even slower!That guy totally lost it.He looks very lethargic with no energy whatsoever.
I undersand why Waqar took four bowlers with him this time. Razzaq got injured and he cant really take out another batsman to make a place for a fifth bowler.
Terrible fielding! two easy drop catches with couple of misfields...Good Luck Pak!

it looks like SA aim for 500 in 1st inn and maybe their only inn in this match because Pak. will hardly get to a total like 250 +

Aapke moon mein ghee shakar. Hopefully Azhar, Saeed, and Afridi can bring some confidence bak to this team in the WC.
aren't we all putting a bit too much faith in Saeed Anwar. He is a class batsmen no doubt about it. but he has been out of the game for a long time and will no doubt struggle coming straight into a world cup. The guy is only human. So let's not get too excited about the whole thing. It is not his fault but rather PCB's stupidity who should have selected him for the SA tour.
