Faisal, Kumble didnt miss the ball, he played it on the leg side. :D Though that not being the point, rest what you said is fine.
Well well,if not an innings defeat,at least we won the test inside 4 days. :k:
*Shoaib talking to Dean jones admitted that 'i m no where near to my best but i m learning against these great batsmen'. *

The replays showed the Kumble was shuffling.. and his back foot was half in the crease when the bail was taken off, but the feet got in the air after that before the other foot came back in. Since it was so close so the benefit of the doubt should have gone to the batsman... but the third umpire (Ghauri) pressed the red button. I thought the decision was distasteful.

faisal bhia...i agree but his left foot was up from the end a lil bit but definately close to the line..:S may be thats what umpire had looked up?

Oh I see,
Well I dont think it would have made a difference to the outcome of the game, as we had already lost the match yesterday, only consolation is we didnt lose by an Inning.
On the umpiring Issue, if the 3rd umpire can make a wrong descision with all the technology at his disposal, can we really blame the umpires on the ground.
how can someone be stumped after playing the ball????
wud that not be run-out????

It may very well be... but the third umpire was looking at exactly what we are looking at. Granted none of us is trained as an international umpire... but in this case, there was enough doubt.. and the doubt should have gone to the batsman.
Anyway, whats done is done.

ghauri must be stupid, but not all the other umpires/scorers to give stumping on a played ball....

Its not that. There is a catch here, i dont rememebr the exact rule but somethign to do with positioning of the keeper and batsman in this stump rule.
