A leg spinner’s stock delivery (leg-spin) moves away from a right-handed batsman i.e. spins from leg to off. A googly spins the other way, from off to leg, into a right-handed batsman.
A player of Razzaq’s experience should have known better. He should have been ready for the googly.

It is clear that our pathetic clueless selectors cannot see beyond regional biases or favouritism
I quite like Shoaib’s idea that PCB should ask (say 8-10) ex-greats to identify 2-3 talented players each, work on them and nurture their craft. This would give us a pool of 20-30 players from which a squad can be easily picked for test, ODI and T20 cricket. Put the onus on ex-players (rather than the selectors) to deliver!

I think the national coach should be given the responsibility to scout and select the national squad + the assistant coaches/strategists/management for a given tour...so the failures or successes could easily be credited/discredited to a single entity...each format should have appropriat crickters/coaches etc...believe in one god...so believe in one coach... :)
PS: The National Coach can be titled as Field Marshall... :D

BTW pl. give razzak some more chance. I feel though he was rusty , he was looking on the way towards clean hitting in the first T20.
