in context, this is wrt his previous statement on match fixing, and his belief that his statement had dented the betting mafia.

The comparisons you carried out shows how little you know about cricket. It was not a state play offs. It was a WC SF between Pakistan and India. We all know Kobe and Jordan sucked playing for US national team
i wasn't talking about cricket vs ball. but was talking about how champions step up in big games.
no killer instinct. always choke under pressure. can't step up on big games. No tears after losing a big game. nothing. It's all smiles.. i don't know any athletes in states that would be smiling after losing a big game.
Jordan sucked playing for US national team? since this is not basketball thread i dont' want to go into details..just check out his record in every aspect of the game.
i can live with this. I would not say they played good, this and that just so i can feel a lil better.
Hafeez should be kicked in the face for playing that shot when things were going so smooth.
misbah should be kicked out of the team for playing such a non-sense innings.

That first costly spell by Umar Gul ultimately came back to bite us in the bum.
Some terrible batting too. Awful shot by Hafeez, inpatience by Younis (who is supposed to be a leader), another no-show from Razzaq and snails pace by Misbah

Mixed Feelings. Heart broken because it was ours game to lose. India was never in it until our own batsmen threw it away. Even Sachin's dropped catches would not really have mattered.
Congratulations India. If we were not there, you would not have progressed to the Final so be thankful to us :p

anyone of the several things IMO, because the difference was just about 30 runs! so it could have been:
- the Umar Gul generosity
- the missed catches
- allowing Bhajji & after to score (I think Pak particularly lost focus at that point - afridi was over confident at that point and went on autopilot)
- bad powerplay strategy
- Misbah not understanding the ‘run flow’ framework of the inning
If anyone of these 5 factors went differently, each representing 30 runs, results would have been different. Of the 5, I think #3 was the worst impact

Congratulations to Indian guppies.
India was the better team today and hence they won.
and Thank you Pakistan team for reaching to Semi Final. I was not expecting that when Pakistani team left for WC. Its about time that we rebuild the team for next cup :)
