I actually would given the MOM to Wahab Riaz (the bowler). With Umar Gul being destroyed and Shoab not in the team, but for Wahab this match would have been a no-contest, so IMO he made the most telling contribution.
But i am not sure if they select MOM for the result (in which case it should have been Raina) or for the process (in which case Wahab).
I cannot see how an 85 run batting is better than 5 wicket haul of some of the best batsmen in the world
What is more surprising here is that Indian players get awards for a telling contribution in losing causes, but they could not dare to give it to Wahab today. No disrespect to Sachin. He is a master!

Please, let us not be sore losers. Congrats to India, great performance, your star players actually stepped up to the occasion while ours played a shocker. Seems like we were playing with all the pressure with the dropped catches and spineless batting performance.
The better team won, I am just sorry that Pakistan did not even make a match of it.

The comparisons you carried out shows how little you know about cricket. It was not a state play offs. It was a WC SF between Pakistan and India. We all know Kobe and Jordan sucked playing for US national team

As for the match, please don't say it was close. It was a pathetic fielding performance where we must have conceded around 20-30 extra runs, along with the ones Tendulkar scored after getting dropped 5 times. Even then, 260 was chaseable and what do our senior batsmen do? Get bogged down and put all the pressure on younger, in form guys at the other end that eventually led to their wickets. This ain't no performance, we blew it under pressure.

For all the dare devilry in the end, the match was not really a close finish. Had it been a closer finish, maybe Wahab's contribution to India's low score would have been a factor. In this case, we won comfortably.

Congratulations to india on winning a hard-fought game. Pakistani bowlers did well to restrict India's strong batting to 260 and if the fielders had held their catches today they would probably have been chasing 230 +/-
Hafeez as usual threw away his wicket at a time when Pakistan were going along nicely and they just lost the momentum in batting from thereon. Because when a wicket falls not only do you lose a player but you also bring more pressure on yourselves due to the RRR going up. Hafeez lacks the power of mental concentration and frequently gets out himself. Once you are in you should take the responsibility of seeing your team home or atleast taking them close to the target. You should not leave it to others or relax thinking the job is done because you bat quite deep as a team

I am at work..and kep looking at the score..and then I logged on right now to see what is happening..the first thing i saw was : “India won by 29 runs”
oh well…at least it was a good match…you managed to keep them from reaching 300 or over, which was great.
