Re: 2nd Semi-Final: Pakistan v India at Mohali, Wed March 30
Don't act like a sore loser, Ehsan bhai :)
Seldom does a player from the losing team get the MoM. And in the end Riaz's impact on the result was zero while Sachin's 85 was vital to India's winning today.
So you think a player who batted with luck and four dropped catches deserves MOM. Give me a break. He is a great player but not today. So dont get carried away. he simply did not deserve the MOM.
Re: 2nd Semi-Final: Pakistan v India at Mohali, Wed March 30
Dont get carried away, had sachin been caught earlier you woudl not have reached even 200 with the best batting line up you had. So wake up.
actually I am coming to the conclusion that we have the best batting line up NOT to score huge totals but to prevent embrassing totals. somebody or others shows up with a 50 or 75 to pull us past 180 - so we are playing a portfolio of batsmen hoping 20% come thru!

Ehsan Bhai.He was dropped not because of his fault.
Re: 2nd Semi-Final: Pakistan v India at Mohali, Wed March 30
What “could have been” is not important. It was a difficult wicket to bat and the ball was not coming to the batsmen, so Sachin’s knock under those circumstances was great :k: No other player from either team crossed 50.
And as I said, MoM is the player who impacts the result the most and today that was Sachin. If not Sachin, it should have been Raina. Wahab might have bowled well but the Pakistani fielding and batting ensured that his achievement today came to naught.
P.S. Actually Misbah did cross 50, but it was a useless innings IMO
Re: 2nd Semi-Final: Pakistan v India at Mohali, Wed March 30
The way India Fielded showed that pressure didnt get to them. Hafeez started good and only guy who showed some postive attitude was Umar Akmal. Fielding was horrible :(.
Re: 2nd Semi-Final: Pakistan v India at Mohali, Wed March 30
I actually would given the MOM to Wahab Riaz (the bowler). With Umar Gul being destroyed and Shoab not in the team, but for Wahab this match would have been a no-contest, so IMO he made the most telling contribution.
But i am not sure if they select MOM for the result (in which case it should have been Raina) or for the process (in which case Wahab).
I cannot see how an 85 run batting is better than 5 wicket haul of some of the best batsmen in the world

Agree.
I said this before and I have been proven right today.
India's for all its supposed batting might - has a very fragile middle order.
Inconsistent Kohli, unreliable Yuvraj and out-of-form Dhoni.
Ehsan is right - if Tendulkar was dismissed earlier - India would have been looking at a less than 200 total.
