Afridi's captaincy was poor. He didn't do enough to stop the singles. Australians had no problems taking 2s till the second last over.

Great effort, but does not change the following facts
- Aus continues to beat Pak, every chance they get. 13 for Aus, 0 for Pak.
- Pak won just 2 matches in this WC. Not good for a defending champion.
The two best teams made into the final, Pakistan did not deserve to be in the semis on performance basis. Let the best fight it out.
Actually we were peaking at the right time, it started against Nz and every game onwards we were getting better and more dangerous. It all started with fielding. It proves that we have the talent and can go really far if we held on to our catches. if I'm not mistaken we haven't dropped any catch in our last three games.
I think its time we should start introducing young blood to our team and be ready for WC. I don't care if we get thrashed in Eng series atleast we will be able to uncover more talents like U.Akmal and Aamir. I hope to see Fawad Alam, Hammad , shahzaib Hassan, Irfan in place of Hafeeza, latifa, Misybah and Sami .
^ Agreed. Our fielding could have been better though. Had they saved those ones & twos in the earlier overs, Australia could have been chasing more than 18 in the last over. That score-levelling boundary should have been caught.
There is no shame in losing a hard-fought game. Pakistan atleast did not surrender. They batted really well. Let's be honest here, Did anyone really expect Pakistan to make 191 against Australia today?
But full marks to Michael Hussey for some unbelievable hitting under pressure. Any other team would not even have come close to within 30-40 runs of the target after being 62/4 but remember this was Australia and these guys just don't know how to lose. Their single-minded determination to win is unmatched. And the Aussies bat so deep that despite being 7 down they were still going for it which shows what a champion team they are. We looked to have the game in the bag until those last 2-3 overs when all hell broke loose courtsey Hussey who literally snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.
Despite the disappointment at defeat, I believe that the two best teams of the tournament are in the finals - Australia and England, both undefeated so far, so I have no real complaints or regrets. Our team played really well but sadly it was not to be because of that one factor - AUSTRALIA. Against any other team we would have won comfortably after making 191.
After today's stunning victory, Australia should go on and win the final of World T20

i want to cry---ahhhh pak lost..but i am happy that they played pretty well..both akmal brothers were totally fantastic...salman was good too...

but overall, pakistan played well...in the end, justice was done..aussies deserved to be in finals, not pakistan....and it remains a fact that we let aussies score 53 runs in last 3 overs....

We were improving and peaked against australia. Even our peak wasn't good enough to break the curse. Australia is way way better.

Catching did improve in the last three games but Pakistan still need to work on their ground fielding and running between the wickets. That is where they are letting themselves down badly. That score-levelling shot should have been caught by the fielder at backward point. 10-15 runs saved over 20 overs could sometimes be the difference between victory and defeat when you are up against a team like Australia
But all in all full marks to Pakistan for some wonderful batting. These Akmal brothers are really talented. Salman Butt played well too. I never expected Pakistan to make 191 against Australia..
And no matter how good your spinners are, it is always a bit risky to bowl them in the death overs. Seamers should be bowling your last couple of overs. Now that might not have stopped Hussey because he was in such wonderful form yesterday but I still believe that it is not so easy to hit sixes off pacers/seamers. Hopefully Afridi and Pakistan would have learnt something from this and they will be the better for this defeat.

I felt that Afridi was so happy with the total, that there wasnt any bowling in at all, he was just going through with the bowlers, though there was passion in fielding.
