With stats like that, the Aussies deserved the win.
nonetheless...Pakistan played a lot better than the rest of the tournament.....was a very exciting match to watch after a long time.....
India vs Srilanka match repeated for final over. Poor Ajmal...

It has been said before but it's worth repeating here. John Arlott had written about it in 1948 at the end of a successful tour of England by Don Bradman's men. ""Australianism," wrote Arlott, "means single-minded determination to win - to win within the laws but, if necessary, to the last limit within them. It means where the 'impossible' is within the realm of what the human body can do, there are Australians who believe that they can do it - and who have succeeded often enough to make us wonder if anything is impossible to them. It means they have never lost a match - particularly a Test match - until the last run is scored or their last wicket down."
Spare a thought for Pakistan, though. What guts they showed. What a game they played. Yet they lost.
Afridi: "It was a very good total. The way the White and Hussey played .. they played mature and good innings. We perhaps lost it in the last over. Ajmal has bowled really well in this tournament ... Kamran and Salman gave us a good start and Umar then played really well."

it is atleast a relief we didnt go out like the Indians, Sri Lankans and West Indians against Australia. A creditable performance, going out like title defenders should.

I think the last 2 or 3 overs were carelessly bowled...because Pakistan were sure at that stage that they were going to win...hmmmmmmmmm

It's a comforting thought really that once you know how to win, you can always come back in the game, of sports or life. A great lesson for the rest of us.

Pakistan played really well , but just got relaxed at the end . Aamer didnt bowled 19th over well. Last over any thing is possible ....

I will remember this match forever. A great game!!!
we just can't seem to win against the Aus no matter what. Even if they had to score 100 runs in 10 balls they would find a way against us! I'm just stunned! Perhaps this must be the most painful WC for me. We lost two really close games!

A great game, I really enjoyed it even though we lost it but we went down fighting. Kudos to Aussies for never giving up !
