Re: 2nd Quarter-Final: India v Australia at Ahmedabad, Thurs March 24
One key difference between the Indian and Pakistani teams is that the latter don't handle pressure that well.
A World Cup semi-final match, and a match with India... two big psychological factors that would be playing on Pakistani players minds... that's my biggest worry - skills wise, we're well poised for a batting versus bowling showdown.
India is slightly ahead, not because of their recent performances but due to the home advantage, their world cup record against Pakistan and the ability to handle pressure well.
Re: 2nd Quarter-Final: India v Australia at Ahmedabad, Thurs March 24
Agreed. However, I still don't think they are capable of chasing scores of 300+. Whether they meet India, SA or SL (yeah, I know that Pak beat them once), they are all capable of posting huge totals. And that puts a huge pressure on Pak bowlers. The likes of Umar Gul & Afridi are just one bad bowling spell away from going home.
IMO 260-270 will be the winning total. I am sure India cannot score more than 270 against the lethal Pakistani attack, but then I am doubly sure that if they did then Pakistan cannot chase 270.
If India bats first, India wins. That's the bottom line.

Please, you've got to be kidding. India chasing against Pakistan always wins. Remember 2003? Either we post a total of 310-320, or we bowl first (that's our best bet). Let India bat it out, we're more likely to restrict them batting first than second.
Re: 2nd Quarter-Final: India v Australia at Ahmedabad, Thurs March 24
Pakistanb will fold under 220 anyway, whether we bat first or you do
Not against your bowling we won't. As long as we keep our heads screwed on and don't try to go after Zaheer Khan too much. The likes of Munaf are there to be hit, hope we do that.

Historically, most of the times when Pak has won against India its Pak's batting that has won the game for them. I really dont see it in this batting unit to do what the likes of Miandad, Inzamam, Anwar, Sohail etc. did in the late 80s-90s.
Re: 2nd Quarter-Final: India v Australia at Ahmedabad, Thurs March 24
Yes, lately. But if you take out the home advantage, world cup history and the ability to handle pressure, I think Pakistan is a slightly better team. We freaking don't have a 4th and 5th bowler. And I am counting Zaheer, Yuvi and Ashwin as the first 3.
But I think Bhajji will click in Mohali. I just want to see Shoaib in the Pak team.
