WHY can't it be because she does or does not want to? Why are we constantly setting up these standards for women, that everything they do must be to make the husband happy?

Let her be whatever she is happy with. However, if she is not dressing up (though she wants to) because of whatever reason, then the husband and her friends should make her do it. May be she is waiting for that push to dress up. Don't disappoint her then.
