I’ve only started warming up to Raheel Sharif because I think he is genuinely trying to put things right, and has been fairly successful with whatever personal touches he is adding to the strategy. Otherwise I didn’t give two shts about either Musharraf or Kiyani.
But it is absolutely true, that the way Iran has guarded its borders despite a crippled economy, weak military and virtually the whole world against them puts Pakistan military to a great shame.
Good for Iranians to see themselves as a great ancient nation with glorious history and rich culture, and not giving monkey’s about Muslim ummah - evident by the way they’d kept Pakistan at way, and the way they had dealt with Afghan refugees.
