India had BJP govt led by Atal B. Bajpai, on 13 May 1998, India , for the second tests it Nuclear capability by conducting a Hot-Test.
With the test, the then Interior Minister of India, the Media and the majority of India was threathening and Mocking Pakistan.
On the other hand, Pakistan had number of issues to look into, the internal pressure, the international pressure and Indian threats…
For Once Pakistan as a country made the right choice and for the first time had a HOT Test..
The decision took here saw critism both internally and internationaly. In 1998 no body thought that something like 9/11 is on cards, and what will change all the morals, ethical and technical norms…
It was its Nuclear capability what stopped its enemies to avoid any kind of direct invasion, specially when India moved its one milliom men on Pakistani borders.
Looking at Pakistans history, it is hard to believe that a country with this mess was capable of something of this caliber. True, we were decades behind in health, education and social sector and lots need to be done to improve it but with all these lapses still it is something to be proud off.
political differences aside credit goes to ZAB, Zia-ul-Haq,Benazir,Army,Ghulam Ishaq Khan,Afghan War & last but not the least, The Lion of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif !
No one can forget about our great scientists, Dr.Abdul Qadeer Khan, Dr.Samar Mubarik Mand and most importantly** Dr. Abdul Salam** who as a Scientific Advisor to Gen.Ayub Khan sent about **500 Pakistani Scientists/Physicists **to world best universities on scholarships and later on the same pool of scientists/engineers of PAEC,PINSTEC,QAU,GCU,CASP & KRL played major role in the development Pakistan Nuclear Program. Dr.Samar Mubarik Mand also got scholarship in 1962 just after his graduation from Government College Lahore for his doctoral degree of Experimental Nuclear Physics from Oxford !
Interestingly both Nawaz Sharif/Shahbaz Sharif & Dr. Samar Mubarik Mand studied in the same school (St.Anthony’s High School Lahore) and same college (Government College Lahore).

لیکن حیرت کی بات ہے کہ بے پناہ اسلحہ ، ایٹم بم ، خطرناک اسلامی مزائیل وغیرہ کے ہونے کے باوجود دنیا میں ہماری عزت وغیرہ نہ ہونے کے برابر ہے ۔ اسکو چھوڑیں '' یو اے ای '' جیسا ملک جو کہ دفاعی لحاظ سے کمزور ملک ہے ، اس کے وزیر بھی کھلم کھلا پاکستان کو خطرنک نتائج کی دھمکی دیتے ہیں ۔ وجہ یہ ہے کہ دفاعی لحاظ سے کمزور ہونے کے باوجود معاشی لحاظ سے وہ ہم سے مضبوط ہے ۔ سو ملک پر رحم کیجئے اور اسلحہ کی دوڑ کو چھوڑ کر معاشی دوڑ کا حصہ بنیں ۔

I actually knew (by chance) how it happened . PMLN was double minded on the issue . cabinet was devided on the issue and many say that N$ was among them who wanted to deffer the hot test . General Jahangir Karamat presented a report to N$ prepared by chefif Pscycologist of Pakistan army Brigadier Taj (brother of the General Pasha) that lower ranks may revolt if Nuke tests are not done so N$ was forced to do this , However he was soon punished by another slave of US , Traitor Mush .

uncle pasha, just so that you know. this is a very good way of expressing your point. you could have written all of above with a lot of name callings such as ganja patwari buzdal nawaz sharif, or harr - a - mee musharaff blah blah and that would have ruined the whole post.
like i said before, no one will stop you from writing againts imran or nawaz but do it without bad names or abuses. that is all

In response i can say, Bhutto, with the help of Ayoub and Yehya not only destroyed history but Whole Pakistan…and it is what happened if not intent.
But i won’t say that, reason, in Pakistan’s Atomic progress… Bhutto, Zia, Benazir, Nawaz Sharif all played very important role and their role cannot be denied.
Benazir for instance, was the first one who brought in the Missile technology in Pakistan…not only that, the Submarine of which Pakistan is proud, is also product of her reign of Power.
Like Benazir, others have role in making Pakistam what it is today…so please dont deny that.
Last not least, about Takht-e-Lahore thing, please name influential politician from Lahore since 1947.

PPP and PMLN supporters can mud-wrestle each other to decide who gets more credit, but the sad fact is that Pakistan has not benefited from having nukes the way a nuclear country should. Pakistan is still looked at as a pariah with no international respect whatsoever.
These 2 days provide the nation with nothing other than fake feel-good stories.
Despite being a nuclear power, you are still bracketed with Afghanistan on literacy rate whereas countries like India, Iran and Bangladesh take pride in phenomenal improvements they had made in human development since last two decades.
The only advantage of nuclear bomb is that it has virtually eliminated the threat of conventional attack by India or anyone else.
