Finally, a new Zombie film. Well not really new, since it was released in the UK last year. It’ll be out next Friday in North America. Can’t wait to see it. It looks very promising. A Danny Boyle Film (Trainspotting, The Beach)
After breaking into a primate research facility, a group of animal rights activists discover caged chimps chained up before banks of screens displaying horrifying, violent images. Ignoring the warnings of the terrified researcher who maintains that the chimps are infected, they begin to free the animals and are immediately subjected to a bloody attack from the enraged creatures. Twenty-eight days later, Cycle courier Jim awakes from a coma in the deserted intensive care unit of a London hospital. He wanders out into a church where he finds dead bodies piled in heaps on the chapel floor. A sudden explosion from a makeshift bomb heralds the arrival of fellow survivors Selina and Mark. They take Jim to safety and explain to him that this infection is transmitted by blood and overwhelms the infected victim with a murderous rage within seconds. Britain has been overrun, and they have no way of knowing if it has spread worldwide. Their only hope of survival may lie in the hands of a Manchester group of soldiers, as they claim to have the answer to infection and invite any survivors to join them at their blockade. Faced with no practical alternative, the group sets out northwards, unaware that the worst is yet to come.
I've been hearing about this movie for a while. It looks quite good. However, I'm a bit weary since I wasn't too impressed with both Trainspotting and The Beach. Hopefully, since this sounds like a more futuristic/sci-fi type movie, it will be better. :)
True, I was quite dissapointed in that fact. But then again, how many more different types of movies can they make with traditional Zombies (There are hundreds)? They have to keep it interesting.
Check out the Lucio Fulci movie “City of the Living Dead”. It has dissapearing Zombies

Loved "Trainspotting", but wasn't too crazy about "The Beach". 28 Days later reminds me a lot of "Resident Evil".
Yes, I was thinking the exact same thing about Resident Evil. It sounds very similar. Hmmmm ..... hopefully it will be different. On a side note, I hope they make a sequel to Resident Evil. I enjoyed that movie.

Comes out this coming Friday in North America. It's not a hollywood flick, it's a UK movie which was released last year in the UK, but is seeing the light of day now in NA.
Just saw this film. It was pretty good. A few jumpy scenes, but also slow at times. The story was pretty cool, and the zombies were frightening at times. Not your traditional zombies. These ones were quick and quite violent. It was about 2 hours long, and I wasn't too thrilled with the ending. I also found the film to be a bit grainy. I notice that a lot with British films. Entertaining movie to say the least.
No, I didn’t stay until after the credits, so I missed the alternate ending. I’ll definitely catch it on the DVD though. I found the movie disturbing also, but it was entertaining. The picture quality was too grainy, and that distracted me. The editing of the zombie attack scenes were quite cool, especially at the beginning.

I didn't like the camera quality either. However, I think the director used an amateur camera on purpose to give the movie a more realistic feel.
I slept fine last night which means the movie didn't petrify me unlike The Ring.

28 days later even blatantly ripped off some scenes from "Day Of The Dead", even down to the chained up Zombie "Bub" (The black zombie chained up at the military post) or "Bubba" in "Day Of The Dead". Much of the music is very similar also.
The movie was dumb....u have ppl infected witha virus tht turns them into mindless killing machines but it's funny...the zombies never attack other ppl infected with the virus...
