I understand now why I didn't notice an alternate ending. The movie had been re-released in theatres recently. You probably saw the re-release. I saw it on the opening day, and that version had no alternate ending.

Good thing I never saw the movie. Never knew there are rules coming from way back in 1968 to understand the movie. Oh well. :)

There isn't, but viewing the aforementioned movies would help him understand why certain questions are not to be asked in and especially B horror films.
