27 killed as violence spreads in Karachi

Re: 27 killed as violence spreads in Karachi

Khann with noon ghunna, I have replied on this already.

Re: 27 killed as violence spreads in Karachi

Very cheap. The point is my community we have no caste, no one is a Mochi or Mirasi. So this noon ghuna stuff doesn't apply to Urdu speaking Khans. However, we all know about the way sindhi Sammat castes are treated by the Baloch wadera and Sayyid Pirs. Maybe you are used to the private jails and rape and abuse of the hari women, but I find it shocking.

On the point, it is fact that the PPP was closely affaliated with the Al-Zulfiqar, a terrorist organization. The Aman Committees are simply a knew incarnation of Al-Zulfiqar.

Re: 27 killed as violence spreads in Karachi

Any basis for this** Aavagon** thesis. One may also call MQM & its killers as reincarnation of Tatars, keeping in view the stories of their torture cells (specialization in bori bund laashen), etc.

Re: 27 killed as violence spreads in Karachi

This hijra government can stop this violence. All the weapons are coming in from KP and FATA. Its amazing how the security at the check points between Karachi and KP can never recover these weapons being smuggled into Karachi.

These thugs sitting in Islamabad are getting a kick out of Karachiites being killed. Why is it whenever PPP is in power, violence starts in Karachi? Look at Musharraf's era. There was no violence in Karachi there was only an economic boom. KSE was voted best performing Stock Exchange.

If violence doesn't stop then Karachi will be worse than Peshawar or Quetta. The biggest city and economic backbone is under seize and the government is doing nothing because they themselves are involved in this violence.

Re: 27 killed as violence spreads in Karachi

khann with noon ghuna, now you are talking from your behind, which does not make any sense. My pukhtoon friend told me this differnece, khans actually belong to KP, khann with noon ghuna are the ones imported, who does not speak pushto.

Re: 27 killed as violence spreads in Karachi

**KARACHI: The Sindh government decided on Tuesday to launch a full-scale operation against criminals and terrorists within 72 hours and allowed the Frontier Constabulary to exercise police powers in the city.
**
The Rangers are already exercising police powers, including the authority to carry out raids and arrests, in the city.
The home department on Tuesday issued a notification, which states: “In pursuance of Ministry of Interior, Government of Pakistan’s notification dated 2nd August, 2011 Government of Sindh grant powers of police to Frontier Constabulary personnel deployed in Karachi to apprehend the criminal elements involved in firing and killing of innocent citizens in various areas and zones of the city (where situation warrants employment of the FC). They are authorized to cordon, search and use force in controlling firing by the criminals in effected areas.”
**
The government also directed the Rangers and the police to get ready to implement its action plan, which was said to be indiscriminate and based on surveillance reports.
It was also decided that a cash reward of Rs5 million would be given to those who could identify a killer.
A
cash reward of Rs10 million would be given to those who could provide photographs or video footage of a killer. **The identity of those who provided this information would be kept secret.

The decisions were taken at a meeting held here at the Chief Minister’s House to review the city’s law and order. The meeting was jointly chaired by CM Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Interior Minister Rehman Malik, who specially arrived here on the instructions of President Asif Ali Zardari to help the provincial government to control the fast deteriorating situation.
The CM and the interior minister appealed to the leadership of all the political parties to come forward and play their role by helping the law-enforcers to bring a durable peace to Karachi.

While reviewing the overall law and order situation, the chief minister directed the police, Rangers and other law-enforcement agencies to make concerted efforts to curb the activities of criminals, anti-state elements and terrorists, who he said wanted to destabilise the country, particularly the province.

Inspector General of Police Wajid Ali Durrani gave a detailed presentation to the meeting and said that 91 suspects allegedly involved in 191 targeted killings had been arrested.
He said the police expected more results and more arrests as a result of interrogation from the targeted killing suspects.
The CM observed that the Frontier Constabulary, which was also accorded police powers, would remain in reserve and their services would be utilised in accordance with requirements.

Home Minister Manzoor Wasan, Chief Secretary Raja Muhammad Abbas, IGP Wajid Durrani, acting Rangers Director General Brig Zafar Iqbal, Additional Chief Secretary (home) Waseem Ahmed, Additional IG Karachi Saud Mirza and others attended the meeting.
Meanwhile, the interior minister also called on Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad at the Governor’s House.
During the meeting they exchanged views on the law and order situation in the city and agreed on the need to initiate a severe action without discrimination against those involved in terrorism.
The minister also had a detailed discussion with the governor on the efforts to improve law and order in the city and the decisions taken at the meeting held at the CM’s House.

Re: 27 killed as violence spreads in Karachi

:smack: what wrong time of going to Karachi.

Anyways, looks like flood gates of corruption for the low-ranked rangers are now wide open.

Re: 27 killed as violence spreads in Karachi

If I had said this, I would be accused of all sorts of things.

May be the army should have over all control of any operation in Karachi. The Rangers are seen as ineffective.

Re: 27 killed as violence spreads in Karachi

Sain,

I marvel at your ignorance. Khan is a Turkish title, which basically means a leader of a war party or Orda as the Central Asians call it. It has nothing to do with KP.

Re: 27 killed as violence spreads in Karachi

man you just involving yurself with time wasiter!!

Re: 27 killed as violence spreads in Karachi

“Altaf asks people to buy one-month ration” -Geo News

This was the head-line of many news channel Last night after 1:00 AM. It surely did create chaos and tension among people, that why Hussain has asked us to buy one month ration? Are things going to get worse? Is he declaring war? How does this going to help any of us?
Many would say “**He is doing this (whatever he plans) for our own good.”, “Karach’s situation is getting worse day by day”.. So on and so forth. Different people different opinions . But what left me wondering was another statement of Hussain stating “Altaf said they would prefer to die honorably rather to live a humiliated life. He warned people to be ready mentally and physically for THIS.” **-Geo News. What I really want to know is what is “This”? What is he actually referring to?

**Looking back at what happened back in 1992, I really don’t know what was it I was barely a year old. But from what my Parents told me it was like as if All-Hell-broke-loose. Reason? “PATHAN-MAHAJIR FASADAT”. Are we on verge of that terrible time again?
**I am not a Pro-MQM or Pro-whatever party. I am a Pakistani! What bothers me the most is those who vote for their respective parties and give them their mandate. Do they sign-up their selves for all of this? Looting of property, target killing, belongings burnt to ashes? Do they? DO they really vote for all of this? HELL NO!

When you vote. Do you sign-up yourself for all of this?

Most of the people will agree that they really don’t have a choice when it comes to voting. In Pakistan every city and even areas with in the cities have been wisely distributed (as it seems) to the party people creating their monopoly No matter what your decision is . whom you want to vote. It doesn’t matter. None of us is really sure that “If their vote is being counted?”

This article is my request to all of those who have voted from quite a time, or who have registered their self recently to vote. PLEASE! Choose wisely. It’s about time that we all should realise that our ethnicity, our language, our cast, our maslak/firqa shouldn’t influence our decision while voting. No matter if you are Mahajjir or Pathan. Sindhi or Balochi. Shia or Sunni. It shouldn’t influence your decision of VOTING!
What we are not realising is that these politicians have divided us by using the tools of ethnicity cast, language issues. Are all these issues above being Pakistani??

My heart cries when I hear about the brutal killing of innocents, looting and burning of properties. What the hell is all of this about? Not to forget those who are laying dead are also our brother and those who are killing them are our brother too.. I don’t know why they are doing all this. Is it about party loyalty? Is party loyalism is above being Human?
It’s about time that we realise that none of the political party is working for us. If they would have, we wouldn’t have relied on international aid. Our loved ones would’ve been still with us. It wouldn’t be any politician ever to bring change. It will always be people. It will always be us. For god sake! Open your eyes and come to term with the reality “THEY ARE NO QUAID-E-AZAM!!!” They will never be like him. But we are definitely those who fought for the establishment of Pakistan. We can still strive to attain what our ancestors fought for.

**We need one slogan! Believe in One identity. One ethnicity.. Be Pakistani. Think like one. Your decision counts.

Forget “Jiye Bhutto” or “Hum na hoon hamare baad –Altaf” or what ever slogans you utter.. ITS TIME!
We need one slogan! Believe in One identity. One ethnicity (if there is any).. Be Pakistani.
**Think like one. Your decision counts.
In the end I am going to leave you all with this Poetry of Ahmad Faraz.. This is going to haunt your mind for days.

very well said!!!

Re: 27 killed as violence spreads in Karachi

After the blockbuster episode of 'Choorun le lo' AH has now come up with a sequel 'Ration le lo'.

Re: 27 killed as violence spreads in Karachi

I believe he has given such statement many a times in past, may be he has a deal with business supply/chain investors so he can hike up the prices even higher once large population runs to buy big amounts of food ration, and that too in month of Ramadan when all food prices go 30-50% higher.

Re: 27 killed as violence spreads in Karachi

Or it might signal another blood bath soon.:(
