25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

Another sad day in our history .
Perhaps this nation never saw a real good day after 14th August 1947 .

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

Oh but the worst is yet to come... the blood dimmed tide has yet to be washed away.

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

I think the Americans were testing the army/nation through drones, with no reaction what so ever they got emboldened to go ahead to part II of the game.

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

Well patience is something but right now I think theres a lot of cries relating to "blood for blood".

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

Meanwhile more statements that we have got accustomed to over the years…

Pakistan asks US to vacate Shamsi airbase within 15 days

**ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Saturday ordered the United States to vacate a controversial airbase within 15 days and closed Nato supply lines into Afghanistan permanently in response to a deadly cross-border Nato air strike.

****The order refers to Shamsi, the remote desert outpost in southwest Pakistan reportedly used as a hub for covert CIA drone strikes, which Pakistan previously told the United States to leave in June.
**
**Pakistan would also review all its diplomatic, political, military and intelligence activities with US and Nato.
**
The decision was taken at an extraordinary meeting of senior cabinet ministers and military chiefs chaired by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, his office said, after Pakistan said up to 28 soldiers were killed in the strike.

The defence committee of cabinet (DCC) upheld the closure of the Afghan border to Nato supply trucks, implemented earlier Saturday, and demanded that the United States vacate a remote desert air base reportedly used as a hub for covert CIA drone strikes on Pakistan’s border areas with Afghanistan.

“The DCC decided to close with immediate effect the Nato/Isaf (Nato force in Afghanistan) logistics supply lines. The DCC also decided to ask the US to vacate the Shamsi air base within 15 days,” said the prime minister’s office.
“The DCC decided that the government will revisit and undertake a complete review of all programmes, activities and cooperative arrangements with US/Nato/Isaf, including diplomatic, political, military and intelligence.” In June, Pakistan also told the United States to leave Shamsi, as Islamabad sought to limit US activities after a clandestine American raid killed Osama bin Laden on May 2 near the capital Islamabad.

The US embassy, which was not immediately reachable for comment on Saturday, has previously said there were no US military personnel at Shamsi.CNN reported in April that US military personnel had left the base.

Washington has not publicly acknowledged operations at the base, but images said to be of US Predator drones at Shamsi have been published by Google Earth in the past. The airstrip is 900 kilometres (560 miles) southwest of the capital Islamabad in Balochistan province.

Pakistan gave the US military logistical support at several bases after joining the US-led war on terror in the wake of the September 11, 2001 attacks.

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

Hundreds of innocent people have died through drone attacks yet no one gets upset. When soldiers are killed we pretend to show our pride.

America has been routinely violating Pakistan since 2011 but we have got used to it.

Our army Generals have sold Pakistan. At the moment they are destroying Pakistan.

Kiyani is worse than Musharaf. What would we expect though - they are trained by them.

It is sad that the soldiers have died and may they be granted a place in heaven and the only people that will feel their pain is their families.

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

No more patience, this demands a bloody nose, but from whome? i dont expect anything from Kiyani, honestly its so shameless response from Pakistan.

bloackade of nato supply and vacating shamsi base? not enough realy. only blood will wash the blood, no more "sorry" no more "blood money" may ALLAH grant highest of his rewards to my fallen brothers

this was a co-ordinated and pre-planned attack, fighter aircrafts were involved along with the helicopter*s* where was our airdefence???

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

I know the army should be the last to talk about sovereignty as they have ceded it voluntarily. When the Americans carry out drone attacks the army starts looking the other way (thats another debate as to which bases the Americans are using to carry out those attacks in the first place).

When the Americans carry out drone attacks in Mohmand against taleban (thats not disrespect of sovereignty) but when an army check post has come under fire in the same area they are talking about sovereignty.

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

true that Himalaya!!! they have really sold our beloved nation!!! honor, dignity, respect! i think they dont even know wht those words mean anymore.! shame on them!

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

didn't gove issued same kind deadline was was rebuffed by US officials in May this year

True, for starter, Resignation of Kiyani and Pasha !

1) What is that? we are sorry, this will not happen again.. we heard that before, didn't we, time for action, no more apologies..

2) what actions? can you be specific? army helicopter do not fly on their own or do they? if not, then who ordered and who carried out??? who is guilty the one who issued order or the one who executed such order? the one who issued order can easily traced in matter of hour or so... or it is that difficult and complicated that after 8 hours, still they don't know who did it???

3) What would be the solid guarantee here? earlier sons and relative of kings/generals use to be solid guarantee.. what should Pakistan ask???

4) Yes they can kill as many Pakistani as they want, and late can pay us on that, Raymond Davis case comes to mind...

I am sure Kiyani and Pasha won't be able to do that, because this not they were granted extension

No comments if there is apt action by our military, but if there is not action but comments from military leadership, then there will be lot more comments by us, and trust me we do not pay so that we have such coward military leadership...

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

Maybe sleeping??? According to the army brass the army men killed were sleeping, so?

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

Told by Kiyani to not to move...

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

The minimum should be

Resignation of Kiyani... he cannot handle the pressure nor does he can fix anything, let the new general come in and do the fixing... Kiyani has to go.. he had enough time and power and support from masses but he seemed to be playing for our opponents...

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

Indik. USA has been aking pakistan nicely for almost ten years. USA provide more than 11 billions to pakistan in exchange for their support. Now americans know that ISI and pakistan army made a fool of them by taking their money and secrectly supporting taliban and other terrorist organisations and networks. Thus USA are on the edge of their next step which is punishing pakistan or at least to demonstrate their power.

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

As far as the air force not responding to the attack, I don't think that they have orders for hot pursuit on our Western borders as we have given the security responsibility to the Americans. As far as the East is concerned at any time of the day if India tries to do the same PAF comes into action, but on the West it keeps sleeping. Our army has been reminding us that they cannot down the drones as that would be an act of war, that basically sums the situation.

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

Rejoice!

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

Pakistan's response is very appropriate in my opinion. Even complete stop to cooperation with NATO would be understandable at this tragic loss.
But I am amazed nobody is condemning the other extreme position of some people, who are bold enough to declare war against Taliban not to be Pakistan's war.

The fact is that it is Pakistan's war, and Afghanistan's war, more than it is America's war.
