I do not think I have read a post of him defaming Pakistan. If he defames the army then that is not defaming Pakistan. They deserve to be defamed.

Situation improving with US, liaison officers sent back to coordination centers…

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

of course, public sentiment is down, so life starts to move about freely as it used to.

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

Americans have asked from Pakistan the details of all border posts (the data might help them in future cross border raids by their forces or by their trained goons aka ttp)

Very interesting. Seems NATO did not care that they were attacking a Pakistani check post.

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

report only strengthens pakistan's stance that it was preplanned and intentional. how the hell an advanced and offensive military aircraft AC-130 can go inside pakistan upto two miles and not know where it is? that's bs. the fact is they knew what they were doing, and they had planned it before hand

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

It is understandable that in these types of personal and emotional situations, it is difficult to refrain from bias, as it is easier to find consolation in blaming the other side, than in thinking of a solution to a persistent problem. As difficult as it may seem to accept, the fact of the matter is that mistakes were made by both sides. The investigating officer’s findings revealed that the U.S forces were first fired upon, after which they demonstrated a warning signal through a fly by; however, they were still targeted. A show of force via a ISAF aircraft, in theory, should have informed the Pakistani troops that they were ISAF forces. To say that we deliberately or intentionally wanted to harm Pakistani troops or that we were on Pakistani soil is completely false. From our side, we have accepted our mistakes during this incident which resulted in the unfortunate death of Pakistani soldiers.

Time after time we have asked for increased border cooperation and coordination by all parties in order to avoid tragic incidents such as this one. These incidents can be avoided if we focus on improving and building trust in our relationship. We ask and remain hopeful that the Pakistani military will join us in working through loose ends that are hindering our joint efforts to disable terrorists from using the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan as a means of hiding and transporting transnational terrorism.

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

Thank you for your informative post. Pakistan army has rejected the biased centcom investigative report.

By the way hows the supply of pampers going for your soldiers in Afghanistan? Is there By any chance a correlation between low stock of pampers with the opening of taleban office in Qatar, statement of joe Biden that taleban are not your enemies and removal of mullah Omar's Name from the FBI terrorist list?

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

that’s plain BS. even if we take your own words and the “investigation report”, and consider them truth, it clearly shows american troops were on pakistani soil, why the AC-130 had to go doing 2+ miles inside pakistani border to hit the posts?

are you telling us that pakistani soldiers on those posts were some kind of supermen who could inflict some real harm by the kind of weapons they had, to the forces operating almost almost 3km away from the posts? in response to which ISAF/NATO had to call for airstrike? that’s nothing more than a joke.

even if we assume that soldiers had best sniper guns with them equipped with nightvision, soldiers had very advanced tools to calculate all the ballistics and drag etc, still its impossible to hit the target at night in that environment from that distance. lets assume by chance if a shot reaches its target, it probably may have lost more than 75% of its energy and capability to make any significant damage. they had no artillery, no rockets, no RPGs.

if we accept your claim that ISAF forces were fired at first, it only proves they were deep inside pakistani territory and a legitimate target for Pakistani forces.

only two possibilities, a) it was a planned attack to check the response and verify if certain areas can be easily penetrated. b) they were TTP terrorists and USA was giving them air cover to infiltrate into pakistan to wreck more havoc like they have been doing for years now.

this bunch of lies from USA/NATO is not going to change pakistani public’s opinion towards america.

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

Really? so you destroyed two Pakistani posts from Afghanistan side? or were Pakistani posts built inside Afghanistan?

Centcom report on Nato strikes unrealistic: FO
Giving an overview of Pakistan’s foreign policy during 2011, Foreign Office spokesman Abdul Basit in his weekly briefing said on Thursday, “Pakistan wants good relations with the United States based on mutual respect and dignity” adding that there will be no compromise on national integrity and sovereignty. He however said, Pak-US relations remained tense and experienced ups and down during the current year due to some incidents including Raymond Davis, Abbottabad and the Salala check post attack of November 26. The spokesman said Pakistan adopted a comprehensive foreign policy that enhanced its image among international community. Basit said Parliamentary Committee on National Security is reviewing Pak-US relations and Prime Minister Gilani has said that its recommendations would be presented to joint session of the parliament for final approval on the issue of revisiting the relations with United States. He said Pakistan was elected non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council that indicates its importance in the world. Regarding Pak-China relations, the spokesman said relations with China are of paramount importance in the foreign policy and Pakistan feels proud of its relations with China. Pakistan also gives special importance to its relations with the Muslim countries. He said Pakistan’s relations with the European Union are improving and hoped, trade with these countries will also increase. Replying to a question about death of Pakistanis in East Java Sea, Indonesia when a ship carrying 250 people sunk there on December 18, the spokesman said efforts are being made for identification of the dead bodies but it is very difficult because the bodies have decomposed. The spokesman said Pakistan’s embassy in Jakarta has set up an Emergency Cell which is working round the clock, in coordination with the relevant authorities in Quetta, for identification of the nationality of the deceased.](http://dunyanews.tv/index.php?key=Q2F0SUQ9MiNOaWQ9NTc1Mjg=)

ISLAMABAD: The paramilitary rangers has started taking possession of highly sensitive US cargo stranded in Pakistan following the blockade of the Nato supply route by Pakistan in protest against the November 26 air strikes that killed two dozen Pakistani border guards.

Sources told *Express News *that Pakistan Rangers has been directed by ‘high authorities’ to take over the cargo containing military hardware and ammunition till the government makes a decision about the re-opening of Nato supply route.

Pakistan Rangers is said to have acquired a yard, namely Mega 6, at Karachi’s Port Qasim for this purpose. “We have acquired a suitable place at Port Qasim where the sensitive cargo will be stored for the time being,” a senior official told Express News.

Sources said the National Logistic Cell (NLC) was earlier tasked to keep the US military hardware and ammunition into its custody. But later on the responsibility was assigned to Pakistan Rangers.

Sources in the Rangers confirmed to Express News that as soon as any vehicle loaded with US cargo appears on Superhighway they take it into their custody. “After taking possession of the cargo we transport it to the Port Qasim Mega 6 yard,” a senior official said.

So far, sources say, Pakistan Rangers have taken possession of as many as 250 cargo units whereas the paramilitary force has been directed to keep an eye on nearly 3,256 more cargo units stranded in Pakistan after the blockade of Nato supply route.

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

the military cargo does not just include armored vehicles and conventional ammunition, it includes Anti Aircraft Guns (which some suspect is SAMS not simple AAA guns), communication jamming devices, and other sophisticated weapons. Safety concerns: ‘US to export all NATO cargo out of Pakistan’
this is alarming, because taliban have no aircrafts, no missiles and radars, against which US may need to use such arms/ equipments. from this, its now very clear as many people have been saying since long, that Afghanistan is just a stage, a gathering point, a large base from where america is planning to destabilize Pakistan and they were preparing in case Pakistan retaliates against any such attack in future. they need the war going.

pakistan should confiscate all this military hardware, keep it in custody until US reimburses all the balance which pakistan has spent in this War of terror, also pays for the damage they have caused to the roads network. they will also need to pay for the parking fee similar to that which pakistan paid for its F16s confiscated by USA even pakistan had paid in full in advance. if they don’t, take all this stuff as war booty.

Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling

US can screw with the pakistani military hardware (some is still in the pipeline from the US) as well as restrict trade by imposing tarrifs etc. Pakistan might impose fees, but there is no such thing as war booty.
