Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling
Far right republicans are nothing but extremist Talibans of USA. They should start calling themselves TRA (Tehreek-e-Redneck America). They are far more dangerous than rag tag Talibans, as these guys can disguise themselves behind masks of democratic human right champions of the world. Unfortunately they are very powerful and influential in the US and have virtually unlimited resources to bring mayhem and terrorism in the world at a very very large scale....
And they do not shy away to promote terrorism on national TV very openly, because they know they have full support of main stream media and people like this TheRealDeal will always buy all the shyt they are selling...
You are still ignorant.
I said these right wingers are jahil and evil like Bush.
But you still live in denial, pretending no Pakistani does anything bad, only America does bad things in Pakistan.
Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling
No personal attacks...
Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling
Real deal what should Pakistan have done after the recent attack on its posts in Mohmand?

As nobody knows the real story, it is hard to say.
Both Armies are liars playing their own games.

Your loyalty is to a family. Not to the country. Your comments prove that.

Both armies are liars and you chose to defend American army and its deeds regardless of what both armies say and do. Thank you.

The only way they can guarantee it is, in future if they get equal or more number of causalities.... that is if PAK-Army reply in tit for tat manner, they will think twice before making such move again...
Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling
PM said in an interview with BBC that we can't rule out banning our airspace for US flights..
Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling
no matter how much i wish they ban the airspace for all non commercial US/NATO flights, and what gilani or kiyani say, i doubt they will. they must be looking for ways to open up the supplies, once the public anger cools down a bit and attention gets distracted somewhere.
thousands of trucks crossing pakistan must be bringing 100s of thousands of dollars in the pockets of our top leaders military and civilian both, its a very lucrative business. but again this is just speculation based on previous experiences, who knows when someone may really become a different person for whatever reason. we have a history of not learning the easy way...

2) vacate shamsi airbase
3) reviewing rules of engagement
in my world all of them are being implemented one way or other. so what's the fuss?

really? you think that i'm PTI supporter? lolz that was funny
i appreciate these steps, i will add to the list the boycott of the bonn conference
as for what the fuss... the fuss is about another news published in Business Recorder and Duniya news yesterday, which said that Military and Civilian leadership have made a principle decision of lifting the blockade once the public anger descends.
and also the fact that more and more containers are continuously arriving at Karachi port, carriers of nato supplies should be barred from unloading all these containers at the port altogether. this mess will eventually make it unmanageable on the port and on the terminals, posing a new kind of security threat to the country and they will finally decide to let them go. either this is plain incompetence and poor planning on their part, or they are just playing for sometime...

our main problem is we tend to forget the actual content of press releases by dcc, ispr, president house .. and else.
dcc never said they are going to block it for indefinite time, they said.. it will be suspended until new rules of engagement are in place which PM said yesterday again.

another great news, our afghani brothers .. if you wanna call them brother.. well yeh the backstabbers .. it should be done long ago.
Withdrawal of exemptions on oil exports to Afghanistan proposed
http://www.dawn.com/2011/12/12/withdrawal-of-tax-on-oil-exports-to-afghanistan-proposed.html
ISLAMABAD: As Nato forces in Afghanistan continue to face disruptions in oil supplies owing to tense Pak-US relations, the Economic Coordination Committee of the cabinet is expected to withdraw later this week all tax and duty exemptions on export of oil products to Afghanistan.Informed sources told Dawn that almost all ministries concerned had supported a petroleum ministry proposal to withdraw all tax exemptions on oil exports to Afghanistan in view of substantial waste of foreign exchange, revenue loss and resultant shortage of various products in the domestic market.“Retail product prices in the domestic market should be the export prices,” said a senior government official, adding the domestic consumers should not be treated unfairly for the benefit of consumers elsewhere, particularly in Afghanistan. He said the ministry had proposed to withdraw petroleum levy and general sales tax exemptions on oil exports for Nato forces in Afghanistan.
Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling
^ well the government should have taken this decision long ago, anyways dair ayad darust ayad...it's strange that the consumers in Pakistani were paying more than afghan consumers and still we are made a scapegoat in case of any problem there
Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling
Now this is some good news… after all he were paying for their oil…
Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling
**Pakistan considers taxing Nato Afghanistan trucks
**
Pakistan is considering charging millions of dollars in annual taxes on Nato trucks and fuel tankers, officials have told the BBC.
The vehicles pass through Pakistan on their way to Afghanistan.
The charges might include taxes on fuel in addition to port and storage fees, they said.
The supply route is a lifeline for Nato troops but Pakistan closed it last month after 24 of its soldiers were killed in a Nato air strike.
On Sunday, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani told the BBC that Pakistan may continue its blocking of Nato convoys into Afghanistan for several weeks.
On the same day, gunmen attacked tankers stranded in the province of Balochistan for the second time in four days.
Pakistan stopped the convoys in protest at US air strikes that killed the 24 troops at two checkpoints on the Afghan border.
Mr Gilani refused to rule out closing Pakistan’s airspace to the US.
Credibility gap
The air strikes on 26 November marked a new low point in relations between Washington and Islamabad, which have long been strained by the US-led military campaign against militants in Afghanistan.
In a wide-ranging interview with the BBC, Mr Gilani said Pakistan and the US needed to trust each other more.
“Yes there is a credibility gap, we are working together and still we don’t trust each other,” he said.
“I think we have to improve our relationship so that… we should have more confidence in each other.”
Nato forces in Afghanistan rely significantly on overland supply routes from the Pakistani sea port of Karachi, which enter Afghanistan through the Khyber Pass.
Hundreds of lorries have been camped out next to border crossings, waiting for the crisis to blow over.
Nato has apologised for the air strikes, calling them a “tragic unintended incident”.
Re: 25 Pak Soldiers killed by NATO shelling
According to bbcurdu the NATO supply was being carried out on verbal agreement, no tax or charges for storage were being charged to them. Now the government is thinking of charging them per liter. It's so funny how our rulers sold us for nothing.
