But anyways, you have to understand that for us 21st Century jugnis, it is much harder to survive without any form of electricity for 17 hours. Eventually, our entire house lost a lot of heat and it dropped down to about 45 F. We have a gas fireplace and also a gas stove, which was really good so we could still warm some food on there.

The hardest part was not keeping myself warm, but defeating the utter boredom that came upon me once I realized that I wouldn’t be able to use the computer, watch TV, watch movies, listen to music, go out anywhere, take a shower, etc. for quite a while. Basically I did absolutely nothing other than read, eat junk food, sleep, and just stare at the wall. Yesterday was one of the worst days of my life.

At least you got to experience how people used to live (i guess still do in some places) in Pind back in the days. You have also learnt the appreciate the luxuries you have in United States of Amreeka and have also demonstrate how dependent you are on something like an electricity and how lack of it can make turn your life upside down Muahahahhahahahahhahaha :halo:

PS: when i was your age, i used to catch Jugnoos outside in the yard/forest whenever there was load shedding

^ OMG YES the title of this thread reminded me of the word “Jugnoo” I thought it was like only in my family that we called fireflies “Jugnoos” hahahahaha

Yea when i was in my dad’s village a few years back, my grandmother walked over to this microwave sitting on the table and pushed a button…and then I realized it was a really really old TV, not a microwave It looked just like one tho, kasme I’d never seen anything like it
