The electricity in my area was out all day yesterday (for about 17 hours) due to the huge snow storm that swept across the Northeast. We didn’t get any snow - just ice. All the trees were coated in a thick layer of ice, along with every blade of grass, every petal, the road, etc…and the icicles were pretty neat, too. School was cancelled yesterday and also today =) yippee!
But anyways, you have to understand that for us 21st Century jugnis, it is much harder to survive without any form of electricity for 17 hours. Eventually, our entire house lost a lot of heat and it dropped down to about 45 F. We have a gas fireplace and also a gas stove, which was really good so we could still warm some food on there.
The hardest part was not keeping myself warm, but defeating the utter boredom that came upon me once I realized that I wouldn’t be able to use the computer, watch TV, watch movies, listen to music, go out anywhere, take a shower, etc. for quite a while. Basically I did absolutely nothing other than read, eat junk food, sleep, and just stare at the wall. Yesterday was one of the worst days of my life.
The worst part is, I missed Valentine’s Day AND Palentine’s Day on GupShup! Crescent_, I’m sorry I couldn’t wish you a happy Palentine’s Day, and I plan to open the Palentine’s Gift Exchange thread as soon as I get a chance…
And I was going to ask my secret GS crush if he wanted to be my Valentine. I was waiting for sooo long to ask . But now someone probably already asked him.
It’s not that simple! These things need to be well thought out..and you can’t just come out and simply SAY it like it’s no big deal! You have to play games and kinda hint it to him ya knowww

Ive been snowed in our house for 3 days now because we have layers of ice in the driveway and i cant get the car out of the garage…nor can i shovel it because it’s impossible to shovel through thick hard ice! Ive been enjoying the days off though caught up with some studying and household chores.
