I wish I was getting married in Pakistan in a way as its the place of the real makeup artists. Alle Nora and Anam are big names in Pakistan. Good luck to those getting married so soon! Im still looking for muas in London. X

Hey girls!! I've been reading the posts here for around 2+ years now and decided to join up as I'm also a 2013 bride- will be getting married in around 2 months InshAllah. Not long to go! I have my bridal outfit but not the walima one yet. That should hopefully be ready by the end of this month. No preps done for the mehndi yet. Does anyone have a specific theme for their mehdni?

August 2013, after Eid IA. Started planning for it soon after the engagement last year coz I knew I'll be on preps and then busy with exams right before it. I am not spending a lot on formals or stuff that I can get later on with hubby-to-be.
Got a suit for mehndi, a couple of formals, some clutches on a trip to Lahore. 4 semi formals from Peshawar and other casual stuff from the local bazar back home. Am thinking of checking out things in Pindi/Isb soon too. (Will sure share my shopping experiences once I am finished with the exams)
Good I won't have to take a load full of crockery or furniture with me coz the in-laws agreed to get it done for our room back in the village and for own home, we'll get it together IA. :)

With Ramadan in July mainly and back to school in sept/oct looks like its going to be a hecticlots of weddings in last 3 weeks of august

You'll find plenty of threads about this around. I personally have seen Jugnu Wasim's and Daniella's work. They do it great. Specially the way Jugnu does the foundation is lovely!

This is a very late response , but i knew at some point i would have to share my day with all the supportive people here in GS. Here is a collage of my wedding dress. Nothing too much. Minimal embroidery. Anyhoo, this is me.
