if so then I'd say these are false predictions but I must admit with so much happening predicted in one year sure does make it very interesting.

but in the end Allah S.W.T knows best. :)

I agree with you completely, I did read some where that it will be on a Friday when the Sun will rise from the west and settle in the east, December 21st 2012 Friday might just be that day but only Allah S.W.T knows best.

To have any belief other then the end of time will occur solely when Allah wishes is to be in kufr.

Such doomsday statements are not worth the time spent on them.

Every couple of years, we get this world will end on yadda, yadda, yadda
remember it was suppose to end on the 6/06/2006 but yet we still live,
ppl need to stop predicting and start living

**Our world has a shelf life of 6-6.5 billion years before its goes kaa-BOOM. Among those 3.5+ billion years have passed so we still have 3-2.5 billion years left. The whole notion of time is basically flawed and to honest with you, our current understand of time is still in development. For example, do you know the further you move away from planet earth or gravity, the slower the time moves?:cheegum: There are “missing spots” in our time and that’s why we constantly align time on earth with “space time”. Tinker a bit about time zones, if you are interested to further pursue this.

As for the mayan calender ending on 2012, I believe mayans had trouble with their concepts of time as well. They combined astronomy with time to do exactly what we are doing now i.e. aligning time with space. So nothing fancy going on there. Its just they followed the moon and we are backing sun.**

Energy Crisis?? Refer to Hubbert's peak. There's tons of geographical data and if doesn't interest you or hard for you to grasp. Go for James Howard Kunstler, easy reads. The publication have been around since 1970s and they point to peak oil production.

Alternative/Clean/Sustainable Energy are all vast subjects in themselves and their implementation in Urban setting is another issue but most promising energy sources are in development stage and not available commercially. Even once they become available commercially, an expert industry needs to be developed around it to make them more widely usable. Change is a process and not a single step.

I came across this production (11 parts). Its interesting. they have discussed about the possibilities (2012 odyssey) with references to physics, quantum physics, astrology, religion, global warming and other change, nature, creation, history etc.
