Mr. Noordin Mengal, a human rights activist presented a glimpse of the conditions of people living in Baluchistan. He said that Baluchistan is a Southern part of Pakistan and Baluchis are proud of their culture, language and secular traditions. The land is full of all types of resources and is on the way where Iran Gas Pipe is to be laid. It has a coastal line and has a strategic position. The Pakistan Government from 1948 is repressing the people of Baluchistan and there were as many as six instances of the Pakistan state unleashing its armed might against the people of Balochistan. There are rampant cases of rapes, torture and killings of the Baluchis youth. More than 4000 cases of forced disappearances are reported in Baluchistan. There are 52 detention centers in and around Baluchistan. There are protests by women of Baluchistan against disappearances and political assassinations. There was bombardment by Pakistan Army in Baluchistan. There is no freedom of expression and local and foreign media is not allowed to enter Baluchistan by the Pakistan Army. The websites of Baluchi people were blocked. The writers who wrote books were hanged to death.

the best solution of it just give them their rights of actual funds belong to that province as centeral govts.ignoring it from independence day.what is your opinon on it? am just asking becoz a lot of things i dont know, what i got informations about balouchistan are mostly from GS threads/posts.

i think whatever the political solution is, it should not entail state violence, repression, torture or murder. plenty of countries have pro-freedom parties within their political system.. e.g. Scottish National Party in the UK, pro-freedom parties in French Canada. You dont really need to solve the issue to deal with it humanely.

University professors are usually killed by BLA / BRA and bunch of other outfits.
Now, I do get some of the balochi demands like for example they want locals to be hired in the jobs that are being created, but companies from sindh and punjab hire their own people. This is why in the prosperous west, the system tries to make sure that locals are given priority in jobs so they have a sense of ownership in the investment in their communities. But forget that when Pakistanis had no qualms with imposing quota system that struck at the hard working entrepreneurs and the economic foundations of Pakistan, only to make bhutto a popular leader so much so that even many non-jiyalas on this forum love this policy.
Pakistan is going forward in its own dagar that is devoid of any logic really.
PS Insurgency in Canada / scotland? Believe me, we would have known about it.

It is very sad and disturbing position since a decade,
The situation of Baluchistan is bad since 1948,
But some time tension was up and some times low.
The matter is being dealt by our intermediate pass intellectuals since 1958 and they never allow 'bloody civilians' to interfere.
I assure you that Baluchs are very good people.
And mind it that they are not beggars .
If you go and beg, They can forgive you and all of your faults.
They are happy with a little but wanted to live with pride.

Most balochs working in these terror outfits want to sit at home and get their salaries in their account, and hence the fight for independance. What kind of an insuregency movement kills innocent professors, doctors, lawyers and kill labouroures building roads.
