Re: 2 eid problem

why aren't you allowed to get married in between the two eid's? :s
Get your nikkah done, have your mehndi and shadi. thats all

Re: 2 eid problem

never heard about this before :s

Re: 2 eid problem

yes havent heard about this before .. infact the shadi season starts after choti eid
why cant u get married in between both eids?

Re: 2 eid problem

There is nothing against nikah in any month. People from Shia Fiqh consider some months as month of mourning therefore they do not hold nikah or shadi in those months which are month of Moharam and a couple of months following it.

Re: 2 eid problem

Hmm I've never heard of this either. (guessing it's a cultural thing) I think that nikkah can be performed at any time, ya?

If you need a clear response though, find an Imam and ask him. If you don't have access to one in person, email one or find an Islamic board and ask!

Re: 2 eid problem

never heard of this...where did u hear it from?

its simply not true.

Re: 2 eid problem

The time b/w choti and bari eids is like one of the peak time for shadis in Pakistan.

Re: 2 eid problem

I dont think this is true, after choti eid the wedding season gets into full swing!

Re: 2 eid problem

and, says who? there isn't any restrictions in any of the 12 months for a couple to get married [nikaah N ruKhsati] there is no shara'ii reason for NOT doing so...it may be a regional and cultural thing...it may be our superstition that if we do certain things in certain months, it might NOT be mubaarak...Allah has put NO such restrictions...period!

Re: 2 eid problem

I dont know much about these things, but i did hear some people saying that the nikkah done inbetween choti and bari eid is forbidden and or doesn;t last forever..... and that most of the people getting married between the eids have their nikkah during the ramadan month.

Now i don't know how true is this.

Re: 2 eid problem

^ let me tell you, it is 100% not true! lol if Allah hasn't forbidden it, then why must we allow man to create stupid laws and make life more complicated then it already is.

Re: 2 eid problem

My brother is getting married about 6 days after Eid, in September, in Pakistan.

Re: 2 eid problem
