2 bananas?

i am eating healthy to lose weight.i workout on an elliptical daily for 45 mins.with this kind of routine can i have two bananas daily? some say its fattening some say its great for weight loss

are you replacing one of your meal with 2 bananas, or adding 2 bananas to your regular diet?

i try to have 2 tbsps of oatmeal with one cup skim milk.it tastes quite boring thats why i add one banana..and the other banana as a snack..
and sometimes when i dont have time.i eat two bananas for breakfast

You've got to be kidding me. Not that I dislike bananas or anything but.. Bananas for weight loss? Bananas cause a high rate of mucus production. They are also a good source of *carbohydrates *[sugar!]. Why would you want to eat bananas when you're trying to lose weight?

Try other fibrous fruits like apples, pears and all sorts of berries. They actually **aid **in weight loss.

how about add more oat meal...1/4-1/2 cup instead of 2 tbsp. Have 1 banana in breakfast and some other fruit for snack or vice versa.

I think it would depend on your total calories consumed per day. Check out myfitnesspal.com. Recording your calories each day would give you a better idea on what kind of foods you should be eating.

Ps: if I were you I would add more oatmeal plus a tea spoon of sugar and/or add another fruit like berries (stealing the idea from another post).

calories in a banana = 100

teaspoon of sugar = 16

tablespoon of oatmeal = 10

You do the math. :)

but still dont you think natural sugar in a banana is better than the processed one.. and oatmeal alone is too boring..

But what really makes me amused and at times laugh is that people who have not revealed anything about their weights, BMI, Waist sizes, end goal of losing weight,.......etc. get advices from random people which means nothing without further information available...... :D

Please post your weight, height, and measurements... as well as what you want to achieve.

2 banana daily might give you constipation especially if its the first thing in the morning, why not replace the banana with an apple in the oatmeal, less fattening/natural sugar and is much tastier

Who said that? I usually eat banana with a glass of milk in the morning and never experienced that.

hehe im sry. my Weight keeps fluctuating between 57-59kg..
my Height 5,1"
Age 21
upper tummy is 27 inches and belly is 36
arms 11 and calves 14 :(

and i want to get down to atleast 48 kgs.

Try to use some thing else instead of Bananas

you do need protein Intake as well

Try to for low fat Milk

BBQ chicken ( Chest piece only )

its a women thing, assuming the op is a she, women are more prone to constipation then men… metabolism rate and calorie intake is also different

1 banana per day is enough why 2?

and i can’t understand how can banana save us from having osteoporosis … :confused:

lol@banana osteoporosis.. desi "doctors" on facebook write up many such things that make no sense.

also i dont see how anyone can bet bored of eating 2 tbsp of oatmeal. it literally takes two seconds to eat that much oatmeal, how do you get bored. and are you a bird that you only need 2 spoons of food for a meal?

lol.and 2 tbsp of oatmeal cooked in almost one cup of low fat milk,makes a small bowl of oatmeal,to which i add cut up fruit.so i guess thats enough for a breakfast.Already having a hard time losing weight dont know why,so im just reducing my portions as well and working out a lil harder
