Come on man, we need to drop asif and get some good batsman in the team, in the 1st innings when Gul was doing fine it was Asif who got runout and again in the 2nd innings he did the same.. kaneria was about to hit 2 dozen sixes... Asif made a mess of it...

Just discovered ...
Pakistan were dismissed for just 80 - their lowest Test total against England, replacing the 87 they made at Lord's back in 1954 - before lunch on the fourth day.
Pakistan all out in 29 overs. Kaneria is the highest scorer with 16 runs.
Anderson bowled well, used the new ball and swinging conditions. I bet if the 2Ys were there they would have failed too. We have seen them fail in the recent past and now when they are out of practice, it would be a miracle if they survive these conditions.
The openers should have survived 30 overs to make it easier for the other batsmen. The old ball does nothing significant as we saw Prior and Morgan establish their innings.
In general, Pak batsman can't handle outswing bowling. You need a good technique to handle the swing..play late and cover the ball..it is easier said than done.
The new boys are playing at critical batting positions, it is unfair to them and the fans. This is not how you introduce youngsters..no one does that. I am sure there is panic in PCB right now and someone will get fired or hired to address core issues. It is about time that hiring and firing is done in PCB rather than the team.
I think Pakistan should stick with the new guys Umar and Azhar for this test series.
for opener yes they should try out Yasir Hameed in place of damad, even with out match practice I am sure he can do better than 19&15.
in place of umar akmal try out fawad alam quick fire 50 in test match most of the times means nothing not that akmal made any.
Shoaib has to go replaced by Razaq atleast he can contribute one way or another.
All the batsmen should be take for psychiatric treatment to instill some courage in them

I tried to wake up a little earlier than usual so that I can catch some of the action. I knew that Pak would lose the game today before tea for sure - hell if Eng had declared earlier yesterday this could've been wrapped up yesterday too.
So I woke as early as I could on a Sunday morning but was thinking to myself that its not early enough and surely 2-3 wickets must be done. And its 80 all out. What the F. I wanted to watch the collapse live :(
I have no more ideas for this batting line up. They have absolutely no clue how to play the swinging ball. I cannot believe I am saying this but I might agree with somebody else's idea in this thread that they should play it like a T20 innings.. It is a disgusting approach to test cricket and it will not take you far... but it will definitely take you further than 80 all out.

IT is time for PCB to seriously think for seperate teams for test and T20 . Players like yasir hameed asim kamal , taufeeq umar , the two Ys , fawad alam to be in the test side while the sloggers to be in the ODI and T20.
Bring back inzemam as a batting coach. at least bring younis back to bat 3rd. drop umar amin for now as he has shown nothing. let him play domestic cricket for now. drop kamran akmal as a catcher and bring zulqarnain haider to replace him. last thing would be to replace kaneria with ajmal
