Re: 1st Quarter-Final: Pakistan v West Indies at Mirpur, Wed March 23
Although I am not reading too much into Botham's clip but same can be said for any other team except for SA. IMHO, SA is the only well balanced team. For instance India depends too much on their batting. Pakistani bowlers did win the game against best batsmen of SL and Aus. I dont see any reason why someone can write them off against Indian or SA batsmen.
I think at the end of the day, it will all come to Pitch + Moral of the team
^ Theoretically, Botham is right :)
But remember that all of Pakistan's wins have come due to their bowlers. However, that will not be enough against teams that are capable of scoring 300+ runs against the best bowlers in the world. Pakistan batting needs to be able to chase high scores if they are to win the WC.

LMAO, I’ve never seen you use this many smilies before, you’re so cute!
Mubarkan everyone! I don’t mind even if Pakistan doesn’t win the WC now because their performance this year has been way better than what I was expecting and that’s enough for me They’ve been excellent so far and y’all better not start bashing them if they don’t win the WC.
Re: 1st Quarter-Final: Pakistan v West Indies at Mirpur, Wed March 23
yayyyy…mashAllah Alhamdulilah…im so happy…what a game it was today…now the semi final will be a tough one…whether its Aussies or India…ofcourse with India…it would be like a war on ground. and with Aussies…sigh…i HATE Ian Chappell and ponting…lol…but looking at the worst case scenario…its better to be beaten by aussies than by indians…(Khudanakhwasta)…and the best case would be kicking India out and qualifying for the Finals Lets see…all i hope is that Pakistan wins the cup no matter whoever is the competitor!
Re: 1st Quarter-Final: Pakistan v West Indies at Mirpur, Wed March 23
I feel sad for Chris Gayle in a way
someone who's so hugely gifted and talented but at the same time so reckless and devoid of patience/discipline
If he could somehow muster the patience to bat for 15-20 overs, Windies would have a chance in most (if not all) games. That was so reckless of him to hit the ball in the air in just the 3rd over
