Saifur-Rehaman escaped with Rs. 1.1 Billions looted money and installed pre-structure RCC factory in Doha Qatar. The very corrupt man was main cause of NRO. You should learn the difference between a criminal case, a constitutional petition and a human rights petition over which Supreme Court has jurisdictions and then come back.
Meanwhile find a PPP leader which has been convicted in a criminal offence by Supreme Court (unless coming from lower criminal courts in an appeal). Supreme Court can convict people if its orders are not carried out (like Gilani didn't do it for more than 2 years) and it wasn't a criminal conviction what you are suggesting for the people involved in this case.

My bad, you are right that the period that I had quoted was Nawaz Sharif’s one. I have not been able to find the time period between 88-90, but he openly admits on correcting his mistake of 1990 (creation of IJI) in 1993 by launching some molvis against Nawaz Sharif to cut his votes and payments made to some friends in PPP (whose names he naturally doesn’t remember). He also had a role in 93-94 in bringing down Sabir Shah’s government in KP. Anyways, this is my last post on Younus Habib’s history in this thread.

16 frikkin years, is this 'justice' or mockery of justice? High profile cases like these should be solved in 2-3 years max otherwise their result do not have much impact other than some chest thumping/some cries. ISI chief's should be sent to jail, all political activities of ISI should be blocked, any active army personnel found meddling in political affairs must be prosecuted in civilian courts. Now can Younis Habib recover any money? I don't expect any attempt of recovery by government otherwise current government would be shooting itself in the foot.

Bhai the politicization of ISI was a civilian move, and was granted Prime Ministerial protection. The move has to be undone by a prime ministerial order. The ISI political cell that has been meddling in politics for all these years has done so under a prime ministerial decree. You can shoot the messenger if you want, but unless you shoot the one who sent the messenger, justice will not and cannot be served. I can understand why Nawaz Sharif did not undo the ISI political cell.....because he was benefiting from it heavily. But why didnt any of the PPP govts (post ZAB) undo it so far? Answer is quite simple. It opens a can of worms and a trail of fungus.

Yes prime ministers of Pakistan wanted to commit suicide so the opted this way . ISI is not new , Only working with different names . Many prime ministers opted to suicide . Liaqat , Sohrawardi , Bhutto and Benazir .

Bhutto did a lot of work for national interest .
He created NLC for movement of atomic luggage secretly but that is being used for steeling business from the hand of bloody civilians.

I agree that politicization was a civilian move but now it is an army monster, you need to see who ISI chief reports to, who are the personnel working in ISI etc. Also interesting to see is when ISI was about to be moved under "civilian" government, not too long ago ;)

The PM can at least issue an order for a start. If the ISI doesnt act upon it, then they are in the spotlight for everyone to see. Right now they are working under the radar.
But regardless, the PM wont issue an order. According to the attorney general, they were not able to 'find' the prime ministerial decree from ZAB that ordered the creation of the political cell:) They cannot afford it this close to the elections....baqi, according to Pasha bhai, everything PPP does is for national interest anyway:)

The best way to punish ISI is to put it under Rehman Malik. Now it will be a norm elsewhere, but Pakistan is different in more ways than we can count.

Why not disband it? What is the justification of ISI in presence of MI? They should all go home. Pakistan ko buhut loot lya.
