THE family of a bright teenager murdered in a racist axe attack made a desperate plea yesterday to catch his killers.
Anthony Walker, an 18-year-old black A-level student, was left with the axe embedded in his skull in the “vicious and unprovoked” assault in Huyton, Liverpool, on Friday night.

Just minutes earlier he had been subjected to a “torrent of racial abuse” as he waited for a bus with his white girlfriend. **
“All his family and friends are devastated,” she said, shaking with anger. “If anybody knows anything, they have got to talk to the police. Talk to them because we need the information. I need to find out who did this to my brother.”
Detective Chief Superintendent Peter Currie, who is leading the Merseyside Police investigation, said:** “This man has been killed because of the colour of his skin. There is no doubt that was the motive.” **
Anthony had spent Friday night at home with his 17-year-old girlfriend. Shortly before 11:30pm they walked to the bus stop outside the Huyton Park pub on St John’s Road so she could catch a ten-minute bus-ride home to Kirkby.
As the couple waited for a bus with Mr Walker’s male cousin, also 17 and black, they were racially abused by a man wearing a hooded top standing outside the pub. **They did not retaliate, and left to find another bus stop, but were followed and then attacked by a gang of three or four men. what a great society and model the UK is you get stopped and searched if you have the brown or black skin, you can’t even walk around without people racially abusing you and killing you by smashing an axe into your skull.

^ If they pakistani or not is not the issue they both where human beings and both incidents are disgusting.
As for racial discrimination it is endemic with Britain its well known fact that it has institutional racism and this is reflected in the society and you have these things happening they cannot solve the race issue this is clear.

What i would like to say is that everythiung that you read about on this subject(racism etc)is not entirely true in reality
alot of the studies are based upon the perception of reltively few people
as for my comment that if they were pakistani, I believe that the sense of horror, paranoia, worry unease etc in the Pak community in the Uk wouldve been heightened to such a degree to change or incapitate peoples lives.
it is, I agree that the above deaths are unfortunate and terribly sad.

Apart from the tragedy involved (Bless the poor guy's soul and his grieving family), something about stories like this strike me as a bit odd.
When was the last time you were waiting for a bus or walking around in public and saw some other guy walking around carrying an axe? I would think that a guy walking around in public carrying an axe would provide a small hint that he's not all there.

Secondly britain has major problem with racism your assumption that it is just a few case studies is really not in touch with reality. Racism in the UK is there so clearly you can cut it with a knife seeing the disgusting comments coming from the public and the media following the recent bomb blasts just confirms the stereotypes and the hatred that is ferminting in the british society from the police force to the common man racism is there and it takes just one spark to let all this hatred come out and this is not me just saying this report after report confirm this even The Macpherson report in the UK confirms establishments like the police force are institutionally racist.

Look up AI and HRW for racially motivated crimes in Europe. They are more common than robbery in Europe. Ignorance is not a reason to keep posting.

Ak's point is to show how bad the western world is, meanwhile he wears a blindfold when he looks towards the Arab/Muslim. Let him vent and complain it changes nothing as the reality on the ground is that people want freedoms over suppression, you take the good with the bad.

No one is denying racism exists in western societies. It exists in ALL societies. It is just pathetic that you spend your time highlighting the problems in the west as if there aren't any problems in your own society, many of which make racism in the west look like a game of patty-cakes. In light of this, your self righteous indignation looks pretty silly. So stop trying to justify your hatred based on news reports you find, it's almost as pathetic as the posts where you use the Quran to justify your hatred.
