Anyhow, yesterday I got the chance to pass by the Brampton hight court as I live very close by and was surprised to see so many TV satalite vans stantioned permenantly.
Based on what came out last night in news, these guys will be mostly likely be guilty and put to jail and we will never hear about them ever again. But what I did not like was seeing their women being chased like that. Worse part is there were lot of other woman relatives who were not wearing Burka or Niqaab but the reporter never took their pictures or came after them. However these women who were completely covered up were chased down like crazy...
In the newspaper today it said that it was very clear to see that women in traditional dress and men with beards and kufis were singled out for media attention which showed racial profiling.
So what is it that you want? Retro-active trials?
And who is tooting horns? Nobody that I’ve seen.
If you truly believe that there should be zero tolerance, then why speak out against these arrests? Let justice take it’s course.
Agreed. It is the nature of media to sensationalize concepts and issues. Their livelihood depends on it.
Having said that, we need to also realize that women that were not dressed in the "expected" attire, may not have even been considered relatives. While we suggest that the media is ratings-hungry, we should also remember that they are often quite ignorant.
Can you please tell your "justice" to take its course, thanks. And while you're at it, can you tell them to stop killing innocent civilians over-seas, seeing how much you "care" about the well being of humanity and condemn terrorism with a passion.
Lawyers and family members said they were being given too little information about the case, and charged that the suspects' rights were not being respected.
Rocco Galati, a lawyer for suspect Ahmad Mustafa Ghany, 21, told the judge that his client's constitutional rights had been violated because he was only able to interview him in the presence of an armed guard.
"The right to private counsel was afforded even at Nuremberg," Galati said.
Outside the court, Donald McLeod, a lawyer for Jahmaal James, 23, also complained of restricted access to his client, including only being allowed to speak to the accused through Plexiglas and not being allowed to have private discussions.
Arif Raza, who represents Saad Khalid, 19, said he had never been allowed to speak to his client and was not even allowed to slip him his business card so Khalid could attempt to call the lawyer from the Maplehurst Correctional Center outside of Toronto.

Who has been doing suicide bombings in Israel? In Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Indonesia, UK etc.? Actually my Prophet pbuh set out rules and guidelines when it came to fighting the oppressors. So I think i'll just follow those instead of randomly killing kafirs.
He gave out bigger responsibilities to muslims to fight oppression and evil.
