Afghan eyewitnesses say US troopers have burnt nearly a dozen bodies of the Afghan victims, whom American servicemen had killed during an earlier massacre.
Early Sunday, **US forces opened fire **on Afghan civilians inside their homes in the district of Panjwaii in the southern province of Kandahar, killing at least 16 civilians and injuring several others. The Taliban militants said at least 50 people were killed in the massacre.
Earlier reports said the assassin was a lone US sergeant.
Villagers said the US forces **later **collected 11 of the bodies, **including those of four girls under the age of six, and set them on fire.

“When Afghan people are killed deliberately by US forces, this action is murder and terror and an unforgivable action,” he said.
He spoke by telephone with the families of those killed, including Rafihullah, a 15-year-old boy wounded in the leg who told the president the soldier had torn the dresses of the women in the house and insulted them.
“He came to my uncle’s home, he was running after women, he was tearing their dresses, insulting them,” Rafihullah said on an audiotape of the conversation heard by AFP.
“He killed my uncle and killed our servant and killed my grandma, he shot dead my uncle’s son, his daughter,” the boy said.
The Taliban wasted no time in trying to capitalise on the killings, sending fighters to mosques in Kandahar’s Panjwayi district as the funerals of the victims of the shootings took place, urging villagers to rise up.
“They were telling the people: ‘The invading infidel Americans come to your homes, insult your women and kill your children, what are you waiting for? You should come out and demonstrate’,” local resident Abdul Khaliq told AFP.
Kandahar is a stronghold of the Taliban fighting to oust Karzai’s government, which is supported by some 130,000 US-led NATO troops.
“A large number from amongst the victims are innocent children, women and the elderly, martyred by the American barbarians who mercilessly robbed them of their precious lives,” the Taliban said.

Ofcourse there is. Remarkable what occupied people can agree to. Or is it a principle that America has where murderers are prosecuted by the people they murder. That would be a great thing indeed. What happens if an Afghani kills americans?

there is no report of her killing anyone, and this guy has killed 16 people. ideally he should be tried in afghanistan.
Exactly. To believe that a woman of Dr Aafia's stature and height/weight could have fought numerous american soldiers even with the assistance of a weapon is laughable. Not to mention what these animals did to her kids.
9 children shot dead, with most under the age of 6! we need to get names and faces of these kids. Too often they get shoved under without recognition of being human.
One thing is clear, this is not a lone incident, but simply, one of many. It is evident in the mentality of these soldiers, that desecrate dead bodies, (whether its urinating or chopping their fingers for keepsakes), abuse young kids, shoot civilians for fun, disrespect the faith of others, and bomb indiscriminately. And what's more they take pleasure in filming their abuse and put it on display for others with pride.
When these actions are so widespread, there is something obviously wrong in the inherent training and the moral compass of the soldiers, that responsibility bears upwards towards the superiors, who are pretending to hang their heads in shame today. They ought to be held responsible for allowing and encouraging this to happen, because it is only a matter of time when it will happen again.

im sure these savages will get away with this, had it been the other way around, we would have seen americans labelling afghans as terrorists, but when it comes to them, its an allegation or a mistake ... sick!!
